Come Together

Steven and I spent the next couple of days at my house in New Jersey. Finally, Thanksgiving rolled around and Steven and I were going to break the news to everyone, that we were going on tour!

All of my aunts and uncles and grandparents, and pretty much my whole extended family was over this year, so Steven and I had a bigger audience to please. 

Throughout the entire day, we told the story of how we met, probably about 30 times, but neither of us minded because we loved hearing it ourselves. The rest of the day was spent cooking dinner, and having my family bombard Steven with questions abut the band and what it's like to be a huge rock star. 

Finally, around 7, dinner was ready, and we all sat in the dinning room and gave thanks.

"I'm thankful to have my two beautiful babies home from college, safe, smart and sound." My mother said with a tear in her eye, "I'm also thankful for the opportunity to meet Steven, and to know how much joy he brings to my daughter. Welcome to the family Steven."

"Thank you, so much. It really means so much to me." Steven said, looking at me for approval. I nodded, giving the signal to share the good news. "And can I just say that I'm so thankful for this awesome opportunity, to be sitting here with you fine people, and the love of my life," He smiled at me, and slid his hand into mine, "And I'm also incredibly thankful and happy to share with you all tha-"

"That Aerosmith is going on tour, and I'm going with them!" I bursted out.

Everyone was in schock for a moment or two, and then errupted into congradulations and cheers and claps.

"When do you guys leave?" My Uncle Tony asked.

"Where are you going?" My Aunt Kelley asked

"When will you be back?" My mother asked, a little bit worried.

"Well," Steven began, "The final plans haven't been laid out, though they should be finished by tomorrow. We're leaving next Friday, and it's a 6 month tour, so we should be back by next June. It's only a small American Tour, but we plan on expending out to Europe on the next leg of the tour in maybe a year or two. We," He said, gesturing to himself and I, "already figured it all out in regards to Mia's schooling. Since she's got all of her credits needed to graduate out of the way, she doesn't have to go back to school next semester. And since we have shows in South Carolina in May, we'll either reschedule, or coincide our tour dates with her graduation date." He smiled at me. 

"That's wonderful! Oh my god! Congrats you guys!" My brother said.

"I'm so excited! Bring on the tour... actually no, right now, bring on the food! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!" Steven cheered!
