To my utter joy, my uncle had bought a tray of food with him when he came to visit. A ham and cheese criossant, and a cup on blackcurrent juice.

Slung over his right arm was a grey skirt and a light blue blouse, white knee- high socks, and a dark blue blazer. My new uniform. Each item of clothing had been dug up from Mrs. Kent, the nurse's waredrobe.

"I wasn't sure about the socks," Mu uncle admitted. "But Mrs. Kent insisted they'd pull the uniform together and actually make it look like something you'd where to school, seeing as the skirt is just a grey skirt she had laying around the blouse is just a blouse... The blazer is part of the uniform, though. Identical to the ones the boys have to where."

I really hoped the clothes fit my small frame after all that Uncle Charlie went through to get his hands on them in such a short amount of time.

"Now, your schedule," Uncle Charlie said. "I decided to check in on you before I gave you your schedule, just in case you've made any friends, then I can give you their schedule. You know, to make this easier on you."

I was actually glad I'd met Preston then, because I would have been dead set embarrassed, for some reason, if I hadn't made anyfriends, though it would have been understandable if I hadn't.

"Preston Smith," I said, surely. "I made friends with Preston Smith."

I actually wasn't sure if I was Preston's friend, or just an aquaintance, but whatever. It was better than having a schedule full of classes with complete strangers. At least if I was in Preston's classes, I wouldn't have to sit alone.

But what if he doesn't want to sit with you...

The thought cut across my mind like a blade, but I pushed it out. I'd worry about that on Monday Morning.

Uncle Charlie smiled. "Preston Smith, good kid, nice parents too, not so sure about his friend Cai though..."

Cai? What was wrong with Cai?

"Right, kiddo," my uncle said, placing my uniform and lunch on a bench. "You'll have your schedule by five at the very latest. If you need me, drop by the fron office and get Alice to call my dorm. See you soon, hon."

He kissed me on the forehead and left my room, leaving me to eat in peace. If croissants is whats on the menu, I'm going to like it here.

I groaned for the millionth time.

According to my shcedule I had homeroom in room 19 in C block. Where the hell was C block?! I'd gone from B block straight to D block. I'd been to friggin, A block, E  Block and G block too! I hadn't found F block, but that was a mystery to solve some other time.

Each door to every classroom had a small window on it, which I could see through as I passed.

When I looked in the first window, I'd drifted by, I saw students sitting on desks and throwing things around. So homeroom hadn't started then. The next classroom was the same. Then an echoing bell had rang through out the whole school and after that, every time I peeped into a window, I saw students all sitting down paying good attention to the teacher up the front of the class.

I was wondering the halls like a lost puppy or something. I doubted I could even find my way back to my dorm, or to the front office.

The corridors weren't littered with lockers like my old school, there wasn't any need for them seeing as the students lived here through out the school year. I wondered what I'd do during the holidays, stay in my dorm, or what?
