The next day, Tyler invited me to the public park in our neighborhood. I didn't know what he wanted to tell me, but he said that he had a surprise. He said that I needed to meet him there at noon. Of course I spent the entire morning in complete and utter suspense. Eventually, I left my empty house and walked to the park. Tyler was already there, with a blanket laid out on the grass. I waved to him, and he motioned to me to come over. He was wearing big sun glasses, and looked at me seriously.

"Do you know why I have asked you to accompany me to this delightful suburban park?" Tyler asked me.

"No, why?" I replied.

"Well, I thought that sitting in this quaint park with my shades on, so the public will know how cool I am, would make us appreciate our suburban lives."
I arched my eyebrow.

"Tyler, what is it?" I laughed.

"Emily, we must learn to appreciate our boring surroundings, because Twenty One Pilots has been invited to perform in New York." He told me. I stared at him in surprise.

"Are you serious?"

"Dead serious, and what would make this trip even more delightful is if you came with us."
I threw my hands over my face.

"Tyler, don't be joking with me here." I warned him. He laughed.

"I'm serious, come with me."

'Oh my god!'

"Of course I'm coming you idiot." I gave him a huge hug.

'I'm going to New York!!!'

Finally, I would be able to leave Columbus!

"When?" I asked him. He did a little cough.

"Saturday September the Twenty Fourth, two thousand and ten." He announced professionally. That was two months away. I honestly couldn't be happier at that moment.

"There was a man at our most recent concert who invited us to play." He explained. I was so proud of Tyler and Josh at that moment. They could actually make it into the big time! Tyler pulled out a whicker basket.

"I hope you didn't eat because I've got Taco Bell." He handed me a wrapped Taco.

"Thank you." I smiled at it.

"And do you want Red Bull or Coke?" He asked me.

"Coke will be fine."
So we sat for a while in the park, just talking for the entire afternoon.
