This chapter might be a little short, I'm saving some good stuff for later.

There will be a time jump for the next chapter, maybe a few days. Oh and in this one, just a few time jumps, like hours so yeah. It was just a heads up.

Becky's POV

-13 hours into labor-

The ultrasound wand moved against my hard swollen belly and I hear Adelaide's heart boom in my ears and I lay back, with a smile.

"She's good. She's in position, so you should be crowning really soon, with in hours maybe." The nurse says, glancing at me with a smile and I return it.

"Good." I mutter and she hands me some tissues to wipe off the remaining gel on my belly and I remove it, before she takes it and throws it into the waste basket.

"Where's your husband?" She asks and my heart flutters in my chest.

I laugh lightly. "He went home to get clothing and to shower." I inform and she nods, checking my vitals again before she writes them down on the whiteboard by the bathroom door.

"Well he should hurry, you're 7 centimeters dilated." She informs me and my anxiety seeps through me.

So close, so fucking close to seeing her and every minute, made me anxious.

"I'll come check on you in a little bit." She says before she walks out and I'm left alone with my thoughts.

I couldn't wait to meet my baby. She was almost here after what felt like an eternity to have her.

"Becky?" I hear from the door and I sit up, recognizing the voice.

"Mom?" I ask and she walks in through the curtain that covered my view.

"Oh my baby. How are you feeling, baby?" She asks, sitting next to me on the bed and she runs her hands through my hair and then presses her hands against my belly.

"Swollen, pregnant, in pain." I say and she kisses my forehead lightly before the door opens and Austin's feet drag into the room.

"I got you some- oh, hi." He says, setting the bag he held in his hands on the counter beside me.

"Good morning, Austin." My mom greets and Austin smiles at her softly, hugging her before he moves to the other side of me and he presses his lips to my forehead.

"What's new?" He asks before he sits at the foot of my bed and he gives me his million dollar smile.

"I'm seven centimeters dilated." I beam and his eyes widen, while he tries to keep his cool.

"That's.. Wow." He mutters and I give him a light smile.

I knew he was afraid and I feared that more than anything. I was afraid that he would get fed up and leave. Having a baby was a huge responsibility and I knew if the time was right, he would leave.

-2 hours later-

"Alright, sweetheart, I'm gonna check how far you are. Are you in any pain?" The nurse asks and I shake my head while she lifts my gown and I feel a slight uncomfortableness and she pulls my gown back down.
