Chapter 62

Becky's POV

My phone vibrates in my pocket and I set down the pan on the counter before  I pull it out, noticing it's a message from Sebastian and I look up, hoping Austin wasn't watching and luckily he was entertained by Adelaide, who was asleep.

I open the message carefully.

From Sebastian💙:
Come with me on a trip.

I laugh lightly and I type in a quick message.

To Sebastian💙:
When? I might be able to and where?

In within seconds he replies.

From Sebastian💙:
In week to the Bahamas.

My heart skips a beat and soon guilt and shame wash over me and without replying, I put my phone away and I burrow my eyebrows.

It was best to tell him now, I had to.

I clear my throat which catches Austin's attention and I walk to him, staring at him with my hands in pockets and he looks up at me.

"I have to tell you something, Austin." I say and he smiles up at me before his hand touches my waist and I take a deep breath, building up the courage to tell him the truth.

"What is it, baby?" He asks and I caress Adelaide's head as she lays on Austin's shoulder.

I shake off the thought and I give him a warm smile. "So, Sarah, my cousin wants to know if it's okay that I go away with her in a few days to the Bahamas." I lie and he raises his eyebrows.

"For how long?" He asks and I shrug my shoulders.

"I haven't asked."

He chuckles lightly before he grabs my hand and he pulls me toward him and I set my hands on his shoulders as I look down at him and he wraps his arms around my waist.

"Is this your way of asking me?" He teases and nod lightly, pressing my forehead again his. "Of course you can go." He says and I'm shocked as I hear his response and I give him a huge smile.

"Seriously?" I ask, way too excited and he laughs at my eagerness.

"Yes. You deserve it, baby. I'll take care of the house, I have to adjust a few things anyway  and I'm sure Adelaide's nanny won't mind taking care of her while you're gone." He says and I squeal as I kiss his face and he laughs.

"Thank you, thank you." I say, finally kissing his lips and he presses his own against mine, hard.

I know lying to him was the worst thing I could've done but it was my only hope and the only way of keeping my affair a secret.

"You're amazing." I say, pecking his lips once more. "I'm gonna hate being away from Adelaide for so long and so far away from home at the same time." I pout and he pushes a strand of hair away from my face and placing it behind my ear.

"She'll be fine." He assures me and I kiss her head lightly, making her shift and she grips Austin's shirt in her hands.

"I'm gonna go tell Sarah right now." I say, with the biggest smile on my face and I rush upstairs, my smile fading as I dial Sebastian's number.
