Becky's POV

-a month later-

"I can't believe that you're so big, look at that. You have two months to go and we meet this little bundle of joy." Michele says as she helps me choose a dress for tonight's dinner.

I wasn't planning on going, nothing fits anymore. My belly was far too big for any of my old clothing, so every now and then, I have to spend money on new maternity clothes.

"Are you ready?" My mom asks, while she looks through a rack and I glance at her.

"Ready for what? For Adelaide ? I've been ready, I just don't know how we're going to survive. I mean, in two months we're gonna lose sleep and we'll need a lot of help." I say, looking over some cute tops and sigh, realizing it wasn't even in my size.

"No one is a hundred percent ready for a baby, Becky. You just have to work together, build a certain schedule that you both can rely on. I mean, we'll be there to help." My mom says handing me a floral dress and she smiles at me.

I return the smile. "Okay. I'm gonna try this on." I say before I disappear into the fitting rooms.

I pose in front of the long mirror, my baby bump becoming extremely noticeable through the material and I sigh, standing sideways, taking in my figure.

"You're becoming a handful." I joke, with a laugh as I get out of the fitting room and my mom smiles as she notices me and she places her hand on her mouth.

"You look beautiful." She gushes, placing her hands on my belly and she slightly rubs my belly and I feel Adelaide move.

"So it's a keeper?" I ask, with a smile and she nods. I walk back to the my fitting room and I change out of the dress, changing back into my regular clothing and I walk out.

"Well, we're ready for dinner." Michele smiles and we walk to the cashier, ready to pay.

Something about this dinner made me nervous and I didn't understand why. It's been a while having my mom and dad in the same room, especially at a dinner table. I just hoped it all would go as planned.

Austin's POV

"Does she even know this baby shower is happening?" Robert asks as he sets out the tables and I help him.

"Nope. She thinks it's some family dinner. My mom thought it would be great, for both of us. I mean, we should be getting enough shit to survive." I laugh and Robert rolls his eyes with a smile.

"You better not walk out on them." Robert threatens and I burrow my eyebrows as we bring out another table.

"Why would I? This is my girlfriend and my baby, there should be no need to walk out." I say, my heart speeds up at the mention of girlfriend, that was something I needed to get used to.

"I'm just saying. I won't hesitate to become Adelaide's father." He jokes and I glare at him.

"You won't need to." I reassure him and he gives me a convincing smile.
