- Summers POV -
Darkness engulfs me minutes after Ali goes to get help. What is happening to me? Why did it have to happen the night I turn 18? Why me? I try to move but I feel like my whole body has been paralysed. I begin to think about random things. One memory suddenly jumps out at me.
*Memory*
"Mummy," I say, looking into the kind, loving eyes of my mother.
"Yes?" She replies, fondly pulling one of my pigtails.
"How am I special?"
She blinks, clearly not expecting me to ask that.
"You'll see when your older, that your different from everyone else, my dear, at least I'm sure you are," she says, pulling me into a warm hug. We sit in a comfortable silence.
"Summer?" She says after a while.
"Yes, mummy?" I mumble, half-asleep.
"I love you," she whispers, before I am once again engulfed in darkness.
