Chapter 40

Chapter 40 

"Abogado na si Chago!" proud na sigaw ni Quentin. Pumalakpak naman kami at pinagbunggo ang aming mga baso. 

"At syempre sa engagement ni Harlow at Zel!" tuwang sigaw ni Tine. 

Malamang, sino pa ba ang magkakatuluyan sa huli kundi ang dalawang asungot na 'yan. Zel's happy with Harlow, Harlow's happy with Zel. They are engaged. They're getting married soon.

Maybe that's what really matters, our happiness, and the happiness of the people we love. 

Nilagok ko ang tequila sa shot glass habang naniningkit ang mata dahil sa maliliwanag at iba't ibang kulay ng ilaw na naglipana sa paligid. The typical Grandeur, the disco lights, loud music and party people. 

"Nasaan na ba si Hebrew?" tanong ni Caricia sabay linga sa paligid. 

"Ayun, si loverboy!" asar ni Harlow kay Hebrew noong lumapit ito sa'min dala ang kanyang girlfriend. 

Napatawa kaming lahat. Umurong ako para mabigyan ng space ang dalawa. Masaya kami para kay Hebrew. She got a really kind and beautiful girlfriend, si Miles. Madali rin siyang makisabay sa amin kaya naman hindi problema kung minsa'y isinasama siya ni Hebrew sa aming hang-out. 

"Sana all, may jowa!" sumimangot si Quentin. Napatawa naman ako habang nakatingin sa kanya. 

Quentin's maybe earned the playboy award back then but as the days passed by, he learned that what he really want is that Caricia falls in love with him too. 

Well, maybe that's how it goes sometimes. No matter how far we'll go to find what really makes us happy, we cannot find it if it's not yet the right time. 

Sa tagal na magkasama ni Quentin at Caricia ay ngayon lang nila napagtanto na palad pala nila ang konektado ang mga guhit. They found out because maybe this is the right time for them. 

"E di manligaw ka sa iba, dahil wala pa akong planong sagutin ka!" sigaw ni Caricia sa kanya. 

Caricia love Quentin, too. We knew it. Inamin niya na rin iyon sa'min ngunit ayaw niyang magmadali silang dalawa. She wanted to take everything slow, and on its own pace. Ganoon rin si Quentin na pasensyadong naghihintay sa kanya. 

At the end of the day, love really can wait. Sabi nga ni Mama, if it can't wait then maybe, its not really love. 

"Miss President, this is our sale charts for the whole month," ani Matilda sabay abot sa akin ng Ipad. 

Napatango ako at napangiti. I am happy because I feel like I am doing my responsibilities well. I am happy to see the success of my ancestor's company in my hand.
