“Can I go in now?” I say to the doctor that is treating Eddie
“Are you a family member or girlfriend”
“Girlfriend” I had to say this otherwise I wouldn’t be able to go to see him
“Follow me then” I follow the doctor to a space with a curtain around “In here”
“Thank you” I slip through into the space and see Eddie nude on the bed “Oh God” I put my hands up to my face quickly but it was too late!
“Oh, why are you in here?”
“Just put your blanket up please!” I say sharply
“Sorry, all done” I move my hands away to see he is covered “How did you get in they said only family or girlfriend, oh”
“Yeah, oh”
“You said you were my girlfriend!”
“What else was I suppose to say best friend?!” he laughed
“Did you like it?” I knew what he was applying to and I cringed, he laughed “Sorry”
“It’s all right, the doctor probably thought I’ve seen it before” I walked over to his bed and sat in the chair which was by it. “This is what drugs do to you? Please don’t take them again”
“I won’t, I didn’t mean to scare you” I nodded
“Do you feel okay?”
“Yeah because I have good company!” I laughed
“You’re lucky”
“I am” he smiled at me and took my hand, okay this was getting a bit weird now
“You sure you are alright” and I touch his forehead
“I’m fine, Fran! Stop fussing”
“Okay, Okay. Sorry I care about you” he sighed “What?!”
“Can we talk?”
“Do I have a choice?”
“Yes!”
“Is this one of your serious talks again?”
“Fran!”
“Okay, what is it?”
“You know when we kissed” That kiss again! “I, I-“
“Just say it all ready”
“I love you okay!”
“Huh?!” I was so confused! “no, it’s not suppose to be like this, were best friends”
“I know but I don’t know”
“It’s probably the tablets they put you on.”
“They haven’t put me on any yet”
“Then, your just a fool!” I say and rush out of the space and to the waiting area
“Francesca!” who is it now? Someone always calling my fricking name “What are you doing here?”
“Elijah?”
“You going to answer my question”
“Sorry hmm Eddie got sent here”
“Eddie’s my cousin! I got a call at his house when I was talking to my auntie”
“Really? Is it your mom’s side”
“Yeah it’s her sister, Is he all right?”
“Yeah he is fine, you should go and see him”
“Come with me then”
“hmm ok” I showed him where he was and went in with him
“Elijah!” Eddie says
“Ed” and they have a manly hug
“Oh this is Francesca by the way”
“I know her all ready, I’m her friend” he smiles at me and I smile back
“You’ve dated her before”
“What the heck? No, that’s illegal!” Elijah says quickly

“I’ll leave you to it then” I say
“Stay, you can hear all the story I have about Edward here!” Elijah says
“I don’t need to were only friends not girlfriend and boyfriend” I walk out of there and to the bus stop, I’m just going home and to my bed! Screw school and life!
