"Good morning and welcome to the show!" The radio announcer said in his normal peppy voice. I was riding in the car with my brother on the way to the radio station. "Today on the show we have the amazing 5 Seconds of Summer to talk about their new album! They will be on in about ten minutes, so until then, enjoy this next song by the band themselves, this is She Looks so Perfect!"
I rolled my eyes. Why did they always pick this one? "Oh my god, Jeff hurry up!" I groaned impatiently. I was going to miss my window. I had a very important question for a certain guitarist, and if I missed that chance because my stupid brother wasn't driving fast enough I was going to be more than unhappy.
"I am following the traffic laws, Naomi." He grumbled making a left turn. We were still ten minutes away from the radio station and at this rate we were going to miss the band.
"Welcome back," The radio guy came back on and I began to tap my fingers impatiently. "I hope you're all doing well! Of course you're sick of hearing me talk, so give it up for the four guys you've been waiting for: 5 Seconds of Summer!"
"Hi!" The all said excitedly. I gave a groan of slight disappointment. I've probably already missed my chance. "How you doin'?" I heard Michael's voice say.
"I'm alright, what about you guys? You've got to be exhausted."
"Nah, we're great!" Ashton said. I could hear his stupidly cute grin.
Finally, Jeff pulled up the station and I jumped out of the car before he was barely even parked. I ran inside as quickly as I could, but was extremely disappointed further to find a ton of girls were there to see them as well. They had signs and photos and merch, and there I was just standing there looking at them. I didn't even look like the mega-fan that I actually was. That might have been why I was tapped on the shoulder at that very second.
"Hello, I'm Cara from the radio show." She gestured toward the hallway behind her, "Would you be interested in meeting the band?" She was speaking quietly so the other girls in the room didn't go full fangirl. I nodded, feeling my stomach turn over. I was going to get my shot.
"I have a question for Michael." I said quickly. Cara grinned and nodded as she casually handed me a pass.
"Okay, I have to get two more fans," She said before she pointed to the hall again, "Just go down there and show the big guy your pass. He'll let you into this room and then Lester will explain what's going to happen." I nodded and headed down the hallway, trying to look calm.
My dreams were about to come true. I was going to meet 5sos and I was going to actually get to ask Michael Clifford my question. I could hear them laughing the closer I got to the door. There was a big guy standing there and I shyly showed him the pass I was clutching tightly. He nodded and opened the door.
I stepped in awkwardly and saw a guy waiting for me. He smiled and gestured for me to sit down. "I'll explain when the rest of the group gets in here." he said. He looked nice. I was practically shaking from nerves and excitement. I looked through the window behind Lester and almost passed out. They were right there. I was in the same general space as them and I was not prepared. I suddenly forgot everything I came down here for. I was lost in staring the four guys I had spent the last six months of my life obsessing over. I didn't even notice when Cara and two other girls came in and sat down.
"Alright, welcome ladies." Lester said smiling, "You are gonna go in there in about two minutes and you all get to meet the boys and ask them one question."
One question. I only had one question. What was it though? I was about to panic. How could I forget my one question? The main reason I came down here was completely gone from my brain!
