The next day Snake got up early and went to work. I laid in bed and pondered life for a bit. Finally, I got up and made breakfast and cleaned up the house.
I pulled Snake's laptop over to me. Opening it I went to Twitch.tv. Going to Cryaotic's profile, I saw the offline photo that was up whenever there were no streams. It was drawn in the style of a fighting game character select. I look at all the pictures. Red, Russ, Scott, Snake, Cry, Battlestar, Ken. There were a few new people on the slots.
I continued to scan over the picture. I missed my friends, but I doubt they missed me...they had probably started a life without me, forgetting me. Then I saw a character: red hair, a face partially obscured by a mask. Underneath the picture was a name: 'Pebbles'.
My eyes widened, they still had me in the picture. They remembered her. I smiled.
I went to Cry's YouTube channel and watched some of his videos, laughing. Cry hadn't changed. That was a good thing.
I pulled my phone out and scrolled through my contacts. When I got to his name, I paused, unsure. I finally pressed 'Call'.
One ring. I fidgeted.
Two rings. I bit my lip.
Three rings. I sighed, this probably wasn't his number anymore. I was about to hang up when I heard a sleepy hello.
"Cry?" I said softly.
"Yes?" Came his slow, unsure response.
"It's Sophi."
"Sophi??"
I heard him moving around, "oh my god. I'm so happy to hear from you. Are you okay?"
I nodded even though he couldn't see, "I'm at Snake's. Come over?"
"Sure. I'll be there in a bit."
I cried, leaning on Cry's shoulder.
"I'm so sorry, Ryan."
He rubbed my back, "It's okay. I know you didn't mean it."
I looked my at him, smiling.
"I'm glad to have you back," he said, smiling at me.
I sat next to Snake as he started up the stream. I picked up his arm and snuggled closer, wrapping it around my shoulders.
Snake raised his eyebrows but I just smiled and turned back to the laptop.
"Guys," he said, "Guess who's here."
"Who?" Russ asked.
He nudged me. "Hi," I said softly, barely audible in the Skype call.
"SOPHI!!" Red cheered, "I MISSED YOU."
"I missed you too," I smiled.
I was silent in the beginning of the call. About an hour in Cry asked me what I wanted to do.
"Well," I said, leaning over to Snake to whisper in his ear.
"Oh god, no," he groaned.
"What??" Scott asked.
"Pleaseeeee?" I begged, pouting and tugging on his sleeve slightly.
He sighed, "Fine."
"What is it?" Battlestar asked, getting impatient.
"She wants to read My Immortal."
Cry laughed, "God that shit was awful."
"Well if it makes her smile," Snake said, looking at me, "Then I'll do it."
I blushed and kissed his cheek, whispering, "I love you."
