During the first month after Olivia was returned to Midgard Loki spoke only to Thor and no-one else. He left his room very rarely and only when Thor was in Asgard and then that was only so he could train with him while learning how Olivia was coping and if her voice had returned completely. Although Frigga tried on occasion to either see him in his room or catch him on the way from the training ground he would wait while she said what she needed to then bow and walk off without uttering a single word in reply. When Odin tried to visit him in his chambers he would not answer the door he was still a prisoner until the council saw fit to revoke his sentence and as such was not allowed visitors of any kind. After the first week of Frigga and Odin attempting to see him he even took to placing a notice on the outside of his door which read:
Caution Dangerous Prisoner Within Do Not Attempt To Gain Entrance
Only Astrid The Maid Is Allowed Entry To These Chambers
Things did not improve much over the next two months either, other than the fact that Thor had persuaded Loki to train each day with either Sif, Volstagg or Fandral in the hope that they would be able to bring him out of his solitude he still did not leave his room but for this. Although he did enjoy this and thanked Thor for arranging it on his behalf he was still not as talkative as he was before and all the friends worried about him greatly. They even arranged a meeting with Frigga to try and work out if there was any way they could arrange for Loki to see Olivia again but came up with nothing.
It was with a smile on his face that Thor announced his presence to Loki through the locked door of his Chambers and as he heard the click of the lock he bounced into the room. "Brother it is good to see you again I hear that you have been training with our friends" he grins broadly and slaps Loki on the back "and even better I have to a note from the one that holds your heart."
Loki spun to face Thor "a letter from Olivia?"
"Who else" he hands Loki the envelope before dropping into one of the chairs by the fire "get Astrid to bring us some food and ale and I will relate all of the new happenings to you."
They enjoy a meal together and Loki listens with interest to the news of Olivia's search for her grandparents home and the good news that it was found and still belonged to her as she could prove her relationship to them. "So that means that she has gone to live by the portal to Yggdrasil that her father and Helblindi used to visit Midgard all those years ago." As Thor nods his agreement Loki smiles a genuine smile for the first time in months "so if she goes to visit Helblindi I may hope to see her myself if I can persuade him to convince Odin that he needs me in Jotunheim."
"Loki I do believe that you are truly happy for the first time in many weeks what do you wish me to do for you. Should I talk to Frigga she will be happy with this news too she worries about Olivia and you being apart for she believes that she is the one for you that she saw first when we were but children."
"I do not know how I feel about you talking to her I am still confused as to why Odin would send her home the way he did and although Frigga said she had argued against it how can I be sure when he normally listens to her advice. The day it happened and every day since I have wanted to punish Odin for what he did, it was totally without justification."
"You have not spoken with either of them since so you would not know what occurred to make him send her home. He had noticed how close you were getting to Olivia, he was frightened that she would hurt you even more than he did by rejecting you."
"How close Olivia and I have become is no business of his it is between the two of us and no-one else. I admit that I became very fond of her while she was here but there was not enough time to find out if she felt the same way although I have hope from her letter and gift the day she left that she may do. After all she loved her mother very much why would she give me her mother's trinket if I did not hold a special place in her heart?"
