Chapter Two - Taken

Once Olivia had been introduced to the other people who live in the Tower Steve showed her to the guest room. "Are you sure Mr Stark doesn't mind me staying here, we don't know how long Thor will be gone?"

"Miss Walker you are most welcome" Jarvis says making her smile.

"Thanks Jarvis I don't want to get in anyone's way."

"Don't forget if you want anything just ask."

"Thanks Jarvis."

At dinner that evening Olivia is surprised to find that no-one asks why she is still there or what her connection to Steve is. It is after as they are all relaxing in the recreation area that Natasha broaches the subject "so Steve, you and Bruce seemed to spend a good deal of time with Olivia in the lab earlier and Thor shot off mighty quickly after seeing you so what's the story?"

Olivia can feel her face pale as Bruce and Steve look at each other then back at the others. Hawkeye, Natasha, Pepper and Tony are all looking at the three of them expectantly. "Well I knew her Aunt back in the day, Janice was a good friend to Peggy when I went missing right up until her Aunt's recent death. Peg asked me to attend the funeral on her behalf and we got talking, that's when Olivia told me about her concerns regarding her family. I told her to get in touch if she needed someone to talk to and she did hence her visit for a few days."

Olivia could see the doubt on Natasha's face "and, there has to be more" she says.

"I found out that my father didn't exactly come from round here."

Steve squeezes her hand "what she's trying to say is that she's just found out her father comes from Jotunheim."

"That explains Thor's rush to depart. Bet he couldn't wait to go tell daddy" Tony says sarcastically.

"He actually left to go see his mother and try to get to see Loki."

"I seem to recall something about Jotunheim" Hawkeye looks warily at Olivia "didn't Thor tell us that's where Loki's dad was from."

"That's why he is going to try to speak to him. I got the feeling he's seeing his mother so she can help him do that. After last year although Odin has released Loki from prison he's confined to his chambers other than for dinner and formal events. I don't think he is allowed visits and he can hardly broach the subject in front of Odin without raising suspicions" Bruce says as Steve nods his agreement.

"So we wait for golden boy to return" Tony smiles at Olivia "me Casa is your Casa for the duration" and with that they all separate for the night.

That night Olivia slept fitfully waking many times from nightmares. At 5.30 she gets up showers, dresses and decides to go for a walk across the street in the park. She leaves the building telling Jarvis where she intends to go as she does. Steve gets up at 6.30 and Jarvis informs him that Olivia has just left the building "who else is up?"

"Mr Stark."

"Get him to join me I feel uneasy about her being on her own for some reason, tell him we need to go find her."

As they leave the building heading for the park Tony turns to Steve "why are we going to find her, she's old enough to go for a walk unescorted?"

"I'm not sure but something about all this makes me uneasy."

They enter the park and walk through looking for Olivia "do you think she changed her mind and went elsewhere?" Steve asks.

Tony touches his arm "there" he points to where Olivia is, she seems to be backing away from someone or something "something's off." They start to run towards her as there is a flash of light then she is gone "what the hell!"
