Olivia couldn't have been happier when she read Loki's letter, to find out that he was missing her company as much as she was missing his lightened her mood considerably. In fact, she actually ate a full meal that night rather than just picking at the food like she had been for weeks. Next day she set to writing her reply ready for when Thor came to collect it. Thor did as promised and returned to collect the letter before he returned to Asgard once more bearing both it and the invitation to the wedding.
When he arrived he headed straight to his Mothers chambers "Mother" he said bowing as he approached "I have news."
"Come sit Thor and tell me the news."
"On my recent visit to see the Lady Olivia on Midgard Helblindi was visiting her also."
"Yes Heimdall informed me that he has visited her a couple of times, I'm glad for them both that they have found each other after so long." She notices Thor's huge smile "but I sense there is something else."
"Indeed, he has sent me with an invitation for Loki. He is to be married in 13 days and as Loki is his brother and only living heir at the moment he wishes for him to be in attendance at this important ceremony. I am to request you pass on this invitation to Father in the hopes that he will agree to let Loki journey to Jotunheim."
"Ah, and am I to take it that the Lady Olivia has a similar invitation?"
"That I do not know he did not ask her while I was there, he may have asked before or after I cannot be sure. Maybe you should just tell Father of Loki's invitation and not mention Lady Olivia."
"My sentiments exactly" with that she stands and allows Thor to escort her to the Throne room, as she enters he turns and heads to Loki's chambers where he smiles as he sees the warning notice still in place on the door."
"Loki" he booms "I have something for you brother." The door snaps open and with a huge smile Thor hands Loki Olivia's letter "you should also expect to be called to the Throne room shortly."
"And why is that?" Loki glares at Thor "what have I done now."
"You have done nothing, you have however received an invitation" with a wink he turns and strides off. Closing his door Loki goes to sit in the chair at his desk and opens the letter from Olivia.
Dearest Loki
It was a lovely surprise to get your letter when Thor visited, even more so as Helblindi and Glymir were visiting when he arrived. I'm glad that your Mother is pleased with my idea of meeting in Jotunheim but Helblindi's plan is far superior to anything I would have come up with besides which it's genuine. Glymir suggested I go there 2 days prior to the actual ceremony so I can be instructed in etiquette, I think he's worried I 'll do something wrong I agreed.
Although Heimdall will be aware of my presence there they are sure he can't discern individuals. If that's true, let's hope he doesn't inform Odin. I hope that Odin doesn't spoil things by refusing to let you attend Helblindi seems to think he'll agree due to the recent trade agreements and his fear of upsetting the current state of affairs between the realms.
Hope to see you soon.
Love Olivia
Folding the letter and placing it with the others in his drawer he stands and starts to pace his chambers waiting to be called to the Throne room. It did not take long for his maid Astrid to appear at the door "Your Highness the All Father has requested an audience with you immediately."
"Thank you Astrid" he says as he passes her on his way out of the room. Upon arriving at the Throne he bows acknowledging both Odin and Frigga "you summoned me."
