Almost instantly, right as I uploaded the video, Dan tweeted a link to the video on his twitter. I took a moment to awe at Dan's perfect timing, then returned my attention to the video. The view count immediately shot up. Overloading the counter so much the number read 301+ views. I'm not sure why 301, but that's what YouTube does for some reason when myself or someone else with a ton of dedicated viewers uploads a new video. I guess really anyone with 302 or more viewers actually...
I smiled at a few of the initial reactions I saw and decided to watch the video.
-
"Hello Internet!"
"Hey guys!"
"So today we-" the frame cut to Dan again, starting over because I started to laugh too much, "so today we have some news to share with you guys."
"Dan is pregnant!" I exclaimed. Dan's reaction in real life was about 10 times longer than the one the video showed. He only laughed for about 2 seconds on the screen.
"Ok no," he said once he regained his composure. "To lots of you this may come as a shock."
The frame cut to me saying, "It shocked me."
Dan looked over at me and I laughed and quickly recovered. "No, not really," I said, grinning at Dan. His beautiful smile showed in response.
Wait. Did I just say Dan had a beautiful smile? What, no!? I mean Dan has nice teeth and all, but I didn't mean beautiful. I mean anyone would be lucky to have his teeth, he has nice teeth. What I am thinking? Video! Watch the video!
"Well let's just get right to it then: Phil and I are dating," he said. I swear I felt something kick up inside me. Adrenaline. That's what it has to be.
"Yep," the Phil on screen agreed and wrapped his arm around Dan's shoulder. Dan tilted his head to look at me for a second and it looked like we had some secret eye communication language, but in reality he was a tiny shocked at my gesture. I was too.
He turned back to the camera and spoke again, "We felt we needed to tell you, but also to let you know nothing is different between us. We're still the same people."
"Yeah we're not like alien flamingo-giraffes now that have come to invade Earth." Dan laughed at my comment.
"See, still the same Phil who makes no sense ever," Dan said grinning.
The video cut to us in different positions.
"Now the fun begins!" I said holding a Totoro plushie in my arms.
The video cut to another part where Dan read the first question, "What is your favorite One Direction song?"
It cut to Dan singing a clip from Gotta Be You, "-Because I'm the foolish one that you anointed with your heart."
It occurred to me for a second that Dan and I can never sit still when we film a video together and It always cuts to us in different spots every few seconds.
"Do you have anything you regret doing?" I asked
"Your mum," Dan said and started laughing as I laughed along. "That one couldn't be avoided," Dan added with a huge smirk on his face.
It then cut to Dan upside down asking, "Do you have a pet iguana?"
"YES," I answered despite the (saddening) fact that this was 0% true.
It switched to a view of just Dan's eyes. They were really brown this close up. I was heard in the background asking, "What colour is a placenta?"
Dan laughed and backed up a bit. He answered with, "The colour of your soul."
