Chapter 9

After the show last night I was exhausted so I went straight to bed after telling Dan goodnight. He looked slightly disappointed I didn't want to stay up until 3 watching scary movies when he asked me, but I ignored it.

This morning I had woke up at 9 which was a rare occurrence for me. I knew Dan wouldn't be up yet, especially if he did end up staying up until three which I don't doubt he did.

I decided to go get myself a coffee from Starbucks, so I pulled on some joggers and a hoody and slipped into comfortable trainers.

I slipped out of the flat quickly and quietly and made my way down to Starbuck. Thoughts of Youtube, Dan, and other random things filled my head on the way there and in no time I was at the entrance to Starbucks.

The heavenly scent of coffee hit me as I walked in and I inhaled as much of the glorious smell that I could. I wondered for a second if it was possible to get high off this smell, then I turned my attention back to the shop.

I noticed there were a few people already in the shop but it was mostly empty and currently had no line. I stepped up and ordered my drink and sat down with it no more than 5 minutes later.

I sat at one of the small booths meant for two people in the corner. I got out my mobile and played Robot Unicorn Attack while sipping my nice hot coffee. I stayed like this for several minutes until someone sat across from me.

I looked up to see a girl that was oddly familiar.

"Hi Phil." Wait how does she know me? Oh duh. I mentally face palmed, yet the girl still seemed familiar.

"Um, hello." I said as it was still pretty early and for some reason this didn't seem like an average fangirl.

"What? You mean you don't remember me? I'm offended." She said in a fake offended tone.

"No, sorry." I said apologetically. She made me feel guilty, and I didn't even know who she was or what I felt bad about.

Yet she had one of those faces that you swear you've seen before. Then again I do see a lot of fans and I can't remember everyone I meet. "I'm Jessica. I ran into you and Dan a few weeks back and my mum was being really... well just herself."

I nodded slowly as it came back to me.

Dan and I had finished filming and we both wanted to get Starbucks. We had made it almost 50 yards out the door when we heard someone squeal our names. There was a brunette that looked to be around 15. She also appeared to be with her mum. We first spotted her by her squeal. I looked at Dan and he sent me a knowing glance back.

"Mum I know those people I'll only be a second!" She said and trotted off before her mum could reply.

"Hi! I'm Jessica, I'm a huge fan of you two!" The girl said to us.

"Hi Jessica! Umm is your mum mad?" I asked and looked towards her mum approaching her from behind.

"No, she just doesn't know who you are and doesn't do w--"

"Jessica. Who are these boys? What is going on? They look way too old for you!" The girl's mum interrupted and started scolding.

"Mum they're on Youtube!" Jessica said.

"Oh and what do they do on Youtube?" Her mum asked.

"Make videos!" Jessica said. I looked at Dan and tried to give my best: 'what is going on/what do we do!?' face. I think he understood because he shrugged.
