Bellamy's Pov

I am nothing more than a visionary with a dream. I don't care what anyone thinks of me as long as they obey. Because of my father's role in the First Order, I have power and I have fear. I am aware that I have odd methods, but they work. I know what life should be like and I understand that many things and creatures are inferior to me. I take pride in my title across the galaxy and I love how feared I am when it comes to the entire First Order.

Me?

A seventeen year old girl?

As I walk proudly to my father's command room, stormtroopers bow before me and sometimes, I don't even acknowledge them. Some people call me cocky and arrogant, I'd like to believe that I'm just insubordinate and useful.

"General Ren." General Hux greets me at the door, his ginger hair greying with stress...most likely from my father. "Your father was afraid you weren't going to make an appearance."

"I take my time," I place my gloved hands on my hips. "Now, what is so important?"

Hux only smiled. "I do believe you'll like what he has in mind."

"Then by all means, show me the way."

Hux nods and begins to lead me into a blocked off corridor which eventually led into one of the many conference rooms within the Star Destroyer Finalizer. There, my father is standing by a window with his back to me. I can't help but wonder what's going on in his mind.

"Lord Ren?" Hux cleared his throat. "Your daughter has arrived."

"Leave us." The robotic voice demanded, making me grin slightly.

Once Hux is out of the room, I walk towards him. "You've summoned me?"

He faces me, his signature mask hiding away his features. It takes him some time to speak as he is trying to think out what he is going to say. "Supreme Leader has given me permission to give you your own ship to command."

"A ship?" I almost gasp. "For me to command?"

He nods, pacing towards a wide table set in the middle of the room. "The past general of that ship...suddenly passed away." There was no need for me to rethink his choice of words, he clearly killed the old general. "Now, the ship is yours and Lieutenant Elwood's."

"Pardon father," I cringe. "But did you say that it is my ship and Lieutenant Elwood's?"

"Do I need to repeat myself?"

I bite the inside of my cheek, crossing my arms over my chest. "No."

"Good." He responds, clearly not in the mood for small-talk. "I shall see to it that your priorities out rule Lieutenant Elwood's."

"Well nobody should be foolish enough to oppose me!"

I sense a small flash of sadness course through my father, quickly ripping him apart and leaving without another word. I don't dare to enter his chaotic mind but I take a lucky guess and assume he's thinking about my mother once more.

"Father?"

He shakes his head and places a careful hand on my shoulder, though his actions are kind, his wording is dark. "Do not fail me."

"I wouldn't dare."

Father took his hand off of me and began to leave. "I have other issues to attend." With that, he left me to my thoughts.

Lieutenant Elwood was not a name I wasn't familiar with. Nobody in the First Order didn't know that he was the only breathing relative of General Hux. What was it again? He was Hux's cousins son? I didn't care enough to find out. Elwood and I both grew up being the only two children within the First Order. Despite growing up together, we rarely talked when we were younger and when we did, it was because I accidentally lit his hair on fire or something.

They didn't look anything alike. While Hux was a terrifying, bloodthirsty giner, Elwood was a brunette with a much more civilized taste.

Stormtroopers said he was evil but he was still just a teenager...but so was I. How does one look at Lieutenant Elwood and guess he has a kill count almost higher than me?

No one.

The first time the Lieutenant and I ever had a real lengthy conversation was almost a year ago. He's quite the man in charge from what I've heard but what more could you possibly expect from General Hux's only blood related relative? He doesn't look the part but he is indeed a massive threat to the Resistance.

"Ma'am?" A stormtrooper snaps me out of my thoughts. "We are waiting for you to board your ship."

"Right." I clear my head. "Is my transport ship ready?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Good, very well. Send for my protocol droid." I instruct. "I'm not leaving without my droid."

Several stormtroopers board my transport ship as I wait for my droid to make an appearance. If that one trooper forgot to bring me my droid, it'll be the last thing he ever does.

"General Ren, we are ready for takeoff." Someone informs me but I silence them.

"We will leave when I am ready."

"Yes ma'am."

Suddenly, the protocol droid walks towards me and I stand up. Relieved, I enter the transport ship and take a seat in the cockpit. No one questions me and I prepare to jump into lightspeed.

"Thank the maker!" L-WYN praises. "I was sure you were going to leave me behind."

I roll my eyes, shaking my head.

"What's so important about this piece of protocol junk?" A pilot dares to ask. "We put off your flight for an hour because of this talking garbage can?"

"What's so important about the life you're living?" I spin my chair around, wrapping my hand around his neck.

"F-forgive m-me General Ren!" The pilot pleas.

Feeling merciful, I take my hand off of the terrified pilot and turn my chair back around. "If anything is junk in the ship, it's you."
