A Family Surprise

He's been gone for to fucking long. How long does it take to go to the damn grocery store? I pull out my iPhone and call him. "Kian! Where the hell are you?" I ask slightly pissed off.

"I'm just now leaving the store. Sorry babe. It was packed." He tells me.

"Well just hurry up and get home. She wants to see you." I sigh as I hang up the phone.

"Mommy where is daddy?" Andy asked me giving me a hug.

She's four years old now jeez. Its been four years since I stopped making everday videos on YouTube. I post like 3-5 videos a year now. But Ki he's still an all out star even though he's in his mid-thirties. "He's on his way home now baby. Go play with your toys."
With that she ran up to her room and I sat down on a stool in the kitchen. My phone buzzed, making me realize someone texted me. I unlocked the thing and looked at it.

Dad: Dallas the family and some other youtubers and I are having a bbq tonight you should bring Andy and Kian.

Me: Okay dad, what time?

Dad: Now.

Me: kk see ya in a few.

I walked to Andy's room and grabbed her small little Vans. "Do you wanna go see Grandpa Connor and Grandpa Troye?" I ask her.

She squeals giving me her answer. I helped her put on her Vans and grabbed her black hoodie. "Mommy, how come daddy isn't back yet? Are we going without him?" She questions me.

"I don't know baby. Mommy's gonna call daddy and tell him to come to Grandpa's house when he finishes putting food and stuff away. Okay?" She nods her head. "Now go do your hair, since I can't."

Andy developed this thing where she won't let me do her hair. I don't know why. I went into my bathroom and took out my bag. I dialed Kian's number and put it on speaker. While waiting for him to answer I started doing my make-up. "Hey baby. What's up?" He asked.

"When you get home and finish putting away all of the groceries go over to Connor's house. There's this family barbecue reunion thing going on today that we were invited to." I say through the phone putting my make-up bag away.

"Okay. I love you see you later." He says and then hangs up the phone.

At Connor's House

"Dallas! Andy!" Ricky said running up to my little girl to hug her in a really tight hug. "Dal, where's Ki?"

"He's on his way back to our house to put away the groceries and then he'll be here." I tell him.

He nods his head and leads Andy and I to the backyard. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR DALLAS (MOMMY) HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" Everyone sings.

I literally start crying. "Happy birthday baby." Kian says walking up to me.

"Dick! You made me think you were cheating on me." I shout at him.

"Sorry Dall. I love you." He says.

25 Minutes Later
I am standing in a corner of the backyard, swaying to the music. Kian went to go do something with Ricky and nobody was paying attention to me. Andy was off playing with Andrea's daughter: Kaitlynn. "Fuck, Dallas is that you?" I hear a voice ask.

I look over to my right and see him. After he disappeared we all gave up on him. "S-Sam?" I ask very excitedly, my heart was racing.

"Hey Dallas." He said walking over to me. I got engulfed in a hug and took in his smell. "You look really good Dallas, really good."

I pulled away from him. "You do too Sammy. Jeez, how much did you work out over the past few years? I hardly recognize you!" I gush.

"I see you got my birthday present." Troye says walking over.
