(10K P.O.V)

I tried to run after Fox as she ran into the woods but Taz snarled at me and snapped his jaws. My hands shot up defensively to try and calm him down. Taz ran into the forest seconds later to follow her.

"Dammit!" I screeched. I feel to my knees and covered my ears with my hands. Foot steps came from behind me and a hand touched my shoulder. I lifted my head to look and the person, Warren. I pulled away from her grasp and stood, "This is all your fault!" I screamed at her, "She trusted you! But you betrayed her!" I pointed a finger in her direction, "Your just a self centered bitch!" I yelled.

"10K lets talk about this." Warren reasoned. "There's nothing to talk about!" I yelled throwing my hands up in defeat. I had lost everything, my mom, my dad, my dog, and now my girlfriend. I screamed in frustration. I kicked a rock across the grass and soon picked it up. The rock seemed to throw its self at Warren. She ducked avoiding the rock. My face turned soft at what I just tried to do.

I dropped to my knees again and broke down. I couldn't stop the tears as they flowed from my eyes. I covered my face with my hands and cried even more. A thought popped into my head. Taz was gone, so now I could go after her. That idea soon vanished as I heard a bark in the distance. The barking got closer and closer until Taz popped out from the forest.

I stood and ran to him. He had something shiny in his mouth. I took it out and looked at it. My mouth dropped when I saw it. I ran into the forest screaming, "Fox! Allie!" I yelled on repeat. "What is it kid?" Doc asked as he finally caught up with me. I gave him the object, "Well I'll be damned." Doc said. I nodded and grabbed it back. Taz soon emerged from some nearby bushes and began to lead the way to wear I assumed she was. I ran after him, the silver object jingling in my hand.

We all burst through a tree line to see a hooded figure trying to pick Allie up. The person looked at us and dropped her. I ran to them and threw my fist as hard as I could. The figure stumbled back as my fist connected with their jaw, hopefully breaking it. I stuck my foot behind their ankle and pushed with as much force I could muster. They fell backwards and landed hard on some rocks. They let out a yip which sounded very...feminine?

I knitted my eyebrows and pulled back their hood. "Courtney." I snarled the name. "Hey baby." She said. I paid no attention to what she called me. I placed my foot on her chest holding her down. "Courtney?" Cassandra asked. "Cassandra?" Courtney responded.

Cassandra burst through the crowd of people to look at the situation. "What are you doing? Get off of her!" She growled. I scoffed, "This bitch just tried to take Fox." "I don't care." She growled. I glared at her but kept my position. I turned my attention back to Courtney, "I don't care how you know Cassandra. But I do care what your intentions were when the thought went through your mind to capture the best girl in the world?" I asked with an angry tone.

Courtney seemed to think about her words carefully. "Because." God she sounded like a fourth grader. I pressed my foot down harder on her chest. "Get off!" Cassandra yelled, scratching at my arms. I pushed her away gently and went back to Courtney. She sighed, finally the truth, "I wanted you all to myself, with her out of the picture I liked my chances." She winked. "How crazy are people!" I yelled as I lifted my foot from her chest.

I marched over to Fox and pucker her up bridal style. I rejoined the rest of the group and listened in on their conversation. "Cassandra and I have been friends since, like, fourth grade. We always used to, like, talk and stuff but since this apocalypse stuff happened we haven't, like, gotten the chance." Courtney said. Great another person who just says 'like' over and over again.

I cleared my throat and the group focused their attention back on me. "Like, I found Fox knocked out and in, like, really bad shape, so I need, like, some medical attention, like, right now." I mocked them. Doc got the joke and laughed, Murphy couldn't help it either and let out a chuckle. "Damn kid what got into you?" Warren asked, "I don't know, but I think after tonight once Fox is all healed up, she, Taz, and I will leave." I said. "What? No." Doc whined.

"Have you notice how much she's almost been killed?" I reasoned. Everyone nodded almost immediately. "Now I need some medical attention." I sneered. I didn't like this side of me, but it was necessary at the moment. Doc nodded and lead us all back to the camp, including Courtney. I set Allie on a soft looking patch of dirt and held her hand tightly. Her eyelids always fidgeted in her sleep, one of the many aspects a love about her.

A few hours later Doc was done with his check up and fixing, she didn't have a concussion, thankfully. She just had a giant gash in her head. "How did this happen?" I asked, examining the cut. Courtney averted her eyes as her cheeks turned a bright red. "What did you do?" A growled. She nervously laughed and rubbed the back of her neck, "So let's say the only way I could knock her out was a rock to the head." She said. My eyes hardened, "Let's say i left you to the Z's." I huffed. She gulped nervously and averted her gaze once again.

I sighed and rubbed my eyes, "Please wake up." I said as I pulled her onto my lap. Taz cuddled in next to us and began to lick her face. Her eyes began to flutter and they opened. She looked at me and instantly tried to get away. "Why'd you bring me back here." She said looking at everyone. Everyone saw her and began to approach. She looked from face to face and looked at a familiar blonde, "Why's Courtney here?" She growled.

I explained everything of what happened to Allie and she got pissed. "Stay away!" She yelled at Courtney. "No promises." She winked. I held Fox tightly in my arms and stroked her hair which seemed to calm her down. "It's okay." I cooed. "I'm still mad at you." She huffed, "I understand that, but I'm sorry." I said. She smiled shyly at me and returned the hug I offered. "I can't stay mad at you." She sighed. I smiled and kissed the top of her head.

"Okay people lets get on the road!" Warren yelled. "We're not taking Courtney." Fox said. "Oh yes we are." Cassandra retorted. Allie was fuming but drew back and huddled into me. We walked all the way to a road and found the truck. "Any gas?" I asked. "Tons, thanks to that station." Mach replied. I smiled and hopped into the bed of the truck. I helped Allie in and Taz jumped in as well. I took the silver object from my pocket and held it up in the light.

"No way." She said. I smiled and gave it to her. "Taz pulled your necklace off to signal to me that something happened." I said. "He's a smart dog." Allie said as she took the necklace from my hands and clasped it back around her neck. I smiled down at her and he smiled back. Soon her face got soft and concerned.

"I'm sorry." She said. "For what?" I questioned. "Well it wasn't very nice of me to run off like that and put people in danger, I'm just surprised my screaming didn't attract any Z's." Fox said. I looked out at the forest as we drove down the road. "You still don't have to be sorry. I would have done the same. And no Z's came." I said. She smiled and looked up at me. I smiled as well and pecked her lips.

"Get a room!" Courtney shouted out the back window that for some reason was open. "I've been trying to tell them that for days." Murphy muttered. "There a match made in an apocalypse." Addy said. Fox giggled and I couldn't help but laugh at her adorable giggle.

"I guess we are." I smiled down at her.

"I guess we are." She responded, pecking my lips.
