((Small chapter))

Nelly ran out of nicks house, tears in her eyes. Ian was coming in from a business affair that Lindsy put him up to. He walked quietly up the stairs into the mansion when he saw nelly run by him. Ian grabbed her arm suddenly.
"What's wrong nelly? What were you doing here-?" Ian began asking when he looked into her red puffy eyes, that were still crying.

"I hate him so much! Stupid Nick" nelly replied quickly as she choked up with another sob. She pulled away from Ian, "I'm going home. Tell nick that I hate him. I really hate him." Nelly told Ian as she began to walk quickly  to the exit. Ian pulled her arm again,

"Nelly? Explain to me what happened-" Ian began asking her, as his blue grey eyes asked for an explanation but she pulled her arm away from him harshly. She was angry, and sad.

"Ask him. I'm leaving." She told Ian with a hateful voice as she left, leaving Ian dumbstruck. He didn't know what to do, whether go after nelly or go for Nick.... Ian decided to go for Nick.

Ian walked quickly to find Nick, when he found Nick and Lindsy alone in a living room.
"That was perfect! I love you so much already" Lindsy told Nick with a pleased smile that brightened up her face.

"Go away. I don't need you here right now" Nick told Lindsy in a strict voice, as he turned his back on her. Lindsy almost seemed hurt by that gesture, but she sighed and nodded.

"I know...right now, you won't agree with me. But..you're going to England with me soon, in a couple days" Lindsy told Nick in a quiet voice, as if trying to soothe him down. Nick kept his back turned to her, and nodded. He didn't need to tell her anything, because Lindsy knew he needed space.
"Okay...I'll see you in the morning" she told him as she walked infront of Nick and tried to kiss his cheek, but Nick pulled away from her. Lindsy seemed saddened but only stood straighter and bravely. "Goodnight." She told him sweetly as she began to leave the room. Ian walked into the room after Lindsy was gone and sat down on a sofa.

"What did you do." Ian demanded in a disdainful Voice. Nick sighed loudly.

"You too? I don't need this bullshit right now" Nick told Ian as he began to walk towards an exit, but Ian stood infront of Nick and pushed Nick back.

"No. You can't run away this time. Not like you always do. You have to tell me, I can't read minds. What the hell did you do now?!" Ian demanded as he was angry. How could Nick just do that to nelly.

"Get out of my way! I don't need this!" Nick yelled out like a frustrated spoiled child. A half of his face was red, almost as if someone had slapped him hard.

"No. Nicholas Wilson. What did you do." Ian demanded once more, as he pushed Nick down to a sofa, and glared at him. Nick sighed loudly in annoyance. He pinched the bridge of his nose, and closed his eyes, almost as if thinking what to say. He was stressed and Ian knew it.

"I told nelly I didn't love her...I told her so many cruel things. Like how I hated her, that she was nothing to me but a game. I told her...how much I detested her.." Nick replied quietly, as his green eyes didn't even try to look at Ian, they looked sadly at the ground.

"Why." Ian asked,

"Because! - Because...Lindsy told me to. I did it to keep nelly safe...from Lindsy..from me." Nick replied still not looking at Ian.

"What was the thing that forced you to do this? What did Lindsy do-" Ian asked, trying to get straight to the point.

"Lindsy had documents on...Nellys time in a hospital. Her record on her trying to suicide....if her college saw that, they could deem her as ineligible in some way...or maybe she could get bullied for it. I could never live with myself if that happened to her" Nick said quietly as he locked his hands together and looked at the ground.

"You really are an idiot. Nelly was willing to stay at your side even though you treated her like crap before. she was willing to never accept one ounce of your money because she liked you for you, not money. You're telling me that you crushed her heart, you offended her, you broke her to the point she could never look at you again or forgive you because of stupid blackmail?!" Ian asked as he was angered by this. Nick stood up and began to walk towards the exit, he didn't want to talk about it.
"Nick! You can't keep running away. You always do this! You make me clean up your mess! What am I suppose to tell nelly now? That it was an act? She would never listen to me" Ian yelled at Nick.

"I KNOW! okay!" Nick yelled at Ian as he turned to Ian. Standing infront of Ian, both looking at eachother straight in the eye. "I know...I broke her, I know she won't forgive me. I know she won't love me anymore, and it doesn't matter! She's safe, from me. From Lindsy, from this elite rich people world that she dislikes so much. It doesn't matter....it really doesn't...lets just-let's just...say she was another game of mines-" Nick almost finished saying when Ian yelled.

"SHE IS NOT THAT! You said it yourself! Didn't you!? You said she was special! She made you feel happy for once! She changed you Nicholas! How can you fucking say she is classified as another game!? Look at you!!! You're suffering right now, but you won't say it! You're hurt, just like she is. And you won't even try and mend things with her?! Just because you think it's for the best? Bullshit! Complete BS!" Ian yelled. He was angry, angrier than Nicholas had ever seen Ian be.

"Ha. You sound as if she's important to you too" Nick commented with sarcastic smirk.

"So what if she is?" Ian challenged. "So what if I like her too?" Ian asked, determined.

"What? You like...nelly?" Nick asked confused.

"I don't. I would if I could, but I don't....cmon Nick. Prom is the week coming up, remember you promised to take Chloe and give her those in appropriate pictures back but think about mending things with-" Ian began reminding Nick. Nick sighed heavily, he had forgotten all about Chloe, all about that school life.

"I won't go." Nick stated as he stood up to begin to leave, he was ready to go to bed early.

"You have to. It's not a choice, Nicholas. Uncle said that its your last American prom dance you could go to, so you need to take advantage of it, before you go to England" Ian said quietly, and sadly.

"....did he really order me to go?" Nick asked quietly.

"Yes. It's an order." Ian stated as he looked at the ground quietly. Once Nick was gone to England, Ian would stay in America until he once again was reunited with Nick to become his right hand man,

".....I'll do it...but don't expect me to be happy to be there...."

"And nelly? Will you take her?" Ian asked worried.

"No. She was a game, nothing else. You take her, or something...her life..is none of my concern anymore..." Nick said sternly and strictly. It was a cold tone, but he said it in a way as if he tried to convince himself that the girl he most loved...was a mere game.

"Are you sure you're telling me this? Or telling yourself?" Ian asked

"Goodnight." Nicholas stated as he left Ian alone.
