Prom Night

Prom had finally arrived, Nick was ready to attend it as well as Ian was. Ivan had already told nick of what lindsy told him...
And the fact that Nick had it on camera.

"I saw the footage. So she does love someone" Nick told ivan as he was fixing his tie.

"To be honest.. I have loved her for a while...but she's still your fiancé so she won't let herself love me so easily." Ivan informed as he was sitting on a chair.

"Well. Even if she's my fiancé, I didn't know about the debt. Or the fact she is a deal for my family, anyways how the heck do I get this tie to fucking tie?!" Nick asked in annoyance as he gave up on tying a tie. Someone knocked at the door quietly, and opened it. Lindsy walked into the room quietly. She walked straight, and smiled towards nick,

"I'll fix that" She said as she began tying nicks tie. Ivan looked jealous as he turned away, not looking at the girl he most wanted tie some guys tie.
"There, done" She said as she took steps back to admire her tie tying skills and smiled at nicholas.
"Well, dear. As I can see, you're ready for the prom. Have fun...and please be safe" She kindly said as she slightly glanced at ivan. She wanted to make him and bit jealous on purpose.

"Of course, I'll be safe but I need to ask you something" Nick began saying as he held lindsy hands in his.

"Yes?" She asked confused

"About your families debt... "

"What debt?" She began asking as if playing it off.

"You know what debt. I have been informed of it, you don't need to hide it, okay? And you don't need to hide the fact you love ivan" Nick said calmly as he looked into her blue eyes that no longer were cold. They held care and love.

"Did Ivan tell you?" She asked as she glanced at ivan disappointed

"No. He didnt. I figured it out on my own...I can let you go. Out of the engagement-" Nick began saying g but she shook her head

"The engagement is already done. We can't disobey-"

"No. Lindsy, look...even if I married you, we would be trapped in a marriage neither of us wanted. I love someone else, and you do too. So...if we somehow pay your debt...once I take over the company I can forgive you from the debt-" Nick began saying but she shook her head once more.

"Nicholas. You can't be heir to the company without marrying me" She told him.

"What? I was never told that" Nick replied with confusion and a bit of anger.

"It's true. I can't pay my families debt until I marry you, and your father made it clear that he wouldn't accept the debt be paid any other way...I have talked to your father, nick....and he clearly told me... that if you wouldn't give up the commoner girl he wouldn't hand down his company to you ever " Lindsy said as her eyes looked saddened. "I'm sorry for having tied you into this...problem" She mumbled. Nick took lindsy into an embrace

"It's not you...lindsy...it's our families...you don't need to apologize, it's alright" Nick told her as he hugged her tightly. Ivan coughed

"Hands off of her nick, I believe she's my girl" Ivan commented

"Not officially" Nick retorted as lindsy giggled

"Shut up" Ivan responded with a jealous tone

"Ivan, don't worry. Nick and I were just hugging"

"-so what? How come he gets treated better than the way you treated me? You yelled at me" Ivan asked her as he looked away with jealousy.
