Nelly POV
I put on a cute dress as Nicholas had asked, saying he was taking me to a party. After me complaining through texts he explained his situation. Something about a rich girls party and he wanted his date, me, to look cute. 'Or he would make me look cute. ' and I quote.
I wore a simple dress which seemed like two different pieces. The top was white, showed  my collar bone and up. My side with the tattoo was covered, so everything was okay. The bottom was a skirt, with flowery designs. I let my hair down, curling it a little as well as wearing some high heels. I put some mascara on, as well a a bit of makeup. I didn't really like makeup.
"The Mercedes is waiting!" My mom yelled from downstairs when I went downstairs, to see that Nicholas was well dress, In a suit. He was indeed cute.
"Hey nelly, ready?" He asked me and my mom was almost fangirling, I could feel she was ready to get a camera.
"Yes, let's go Nicholas," I told him as he grabbed him. By his arm and began dragging him away before my mom could question him further. Good thing dad wasn't home.
"Nelly come home before midnight" my mom said as I was taking Nicholas to the car. He looked at me with a smile.
"Your moms nice" he said with a smile
"And she would've interrogated you if we would've stayed" I told him and he opened the door for me.
"By the way, before I forget, you do look cute. You never let your hair down but this is a change" he told me with a smile.
"Oh shut up, I'm sorry if I'm not fancy enough for your friends" I informed him and he shook his head.
"I wouldn't want you to be, they're all snobs...but just smile more and you will look more beautiful" he told me with his eyes almost shining at he gazed at me. I couldn't help a slight blush, I had never been looked at in that way. I was nervous.
He got into the car and began driving, both of us, quiet, and nervous. When we finally got to a huge house, a mansion. There was a fountain in the front, and so many luxurious cars.
"Before we go inside, if they ask you who you are, just say, Nicholas Wilsons friend. If they ask you your profession or family just play it off to the best you can. There will be people of different languages there...so just stick by me alright?" He asked me, nervous.
I smiled,
"calm down, I will stay with you. How big could the crowd be?" I asked and he smiled at me.
"You're right" as we both began to walk into the mansion. I regretted it immediately, I saw a chandelier, people dressed more nicely than I was. Girls and guys of our age besides adults. I heard Spanish, Italian, French and English in the room. I understood Spanish thanks to classes and Hispanic friends. I looked sound slightly scared when I felt his hand entwine with mines. My heart beat got faster and he smiled at me, when a girl came up to us.
"So this is your...date?" She asked me, inspecting me up and down, I could feel her eyes judging me, I felt like shrinking, but I smiled kindly,
"Hello, I am Nelly Anderson." I told her with my kindest smile, knowing she had to be Chloe's type of girl.
"Bonjour, Adelaide Suavettere, from the Suavetterre family, they own companies in France." She told me with a snobby attitude,
"Adelaide." Nicholas warned and she turned sweet on him.
"Addy. Yes? Nicky?" She asked sweetly, as she took him by his arm and began dragging him into the crowd. My hand was still entwined with his, and he held my hand tightly. Dragging me along with them. Before I knew it, we were at the top of the stairs, gazing at the crowd of people, I felt so scared.
"Dearest, ladies and gentlemen! Thank you all for coming to my birthday party! Note that after this party, the adults will be leaving to go have their own fun, so we teens can have fun after wards. Have fun, s'il vous plait" she said sweetly as the crowd clapped. Adults seemed relieved to be leaving, while teens were just slightly bored.
She dragged Nicholas back down to the crowd, being surrounded by guys and girls. I was still holding onto Nicholas's hand when someone pushed me away, and we were separated. I felt my heart drop, shit I was lost.
"Is it true? You two are fiancés now?" A girl asked. I could hear her, she was loud.
"Not-" Nicholas began saying. I turned to find him, when I hit a guy.
"I'm sorry" I began saying when I looked up to see an attractive guy, dirty blonde hair, greenish bluefish eyes and a dominant aura to it.
"Excuse-" he began saying when he laid eyes on me. He was taller than me, I mean everyone was...but when he saw me, his kind smile turned to a smirk. He too me by my hand and began dragging me to God knows where. We stopped at a spot, it was slightly darker. "You're pretty cute, so what's your name?" He asked me. I didn't know him,
"None of your business." I replied as rudely as I could.
"Oh, that's unladylike, you've got quite the attitude, so who's your date here?" He asked me, as he leaned on the wall besides me. He seems chill
"Nicholas Wilson" I replied
"Oh nick, yeah, he's cool. I had been wondering why he rejected Adelaide"
"He rejected Adelaide? Why?"
"I heard it's because he had a girlfriend, so you must be the girlfriend?" He asked me
"No...we are friends...just friends"
"Oh...so I must be lucky then. Want to stay with me until the adults leave?" He asked
"I don't know you're name. Why should I even trust you?" I asked him, trying to keep my cool
"Ivan Maslow, that's my name. I'm Russian, but lived in American since I was 3, so I don't have the accent." Ivan said as he smiled at me. He was handsome, yeah. Now I wondered if all rich people were good looking? "So what's your name?" He asked once more
"Nelly..."
"Okay, nelly. Shall we go ahead and get some food? Or do you just want water and salad?" He asked me
"Hell no. I'm hungry, I want some chocolate too" I told him as we began walking to the food table.

Nicholas POV
I lost her. I couldn't handle that.
"Adelaide, I'll be right back-" I began saying but she gave me a look
"No. You must say with me, you promised" she began saying
"And on that one condition" I reminded her, she sighed and looked annoyed.
"She will be fine, I have guards and whatever. You can call her or whatever" Adelaide said as she took out her phone and handed it to me, but I had my own phone too. I waved her off and took my phone out, beginning to call her. When I finally got through
"Hey? Where are you?" I asked
"Oh-nick! What's up? Long time no see-" a guy's voice said and I knew. Ivan.
"Ivan? What did you do to her?" I asked him.
"Hey chill! She's eating some sweets right now, I gotta say she's really cute! Where'd ya find her?" He asked me
"How did you get her phone?" I asked him, ignoring his question
"I kinda sneaked it out of her purse, I was curious. Can't blame me. Besides, I'm not gonna hurt her" Ivan told me but I could hear his slight mischief
"Ivan. She's not to be messed with, she's not just anyone, besides our past is between us don't bring her in this" I reminded him, but he laughed.
"You mean stealing my girlfriend was nothing?" He asked, I knew I had touched a nerve
"I didn't steal her, she just left you, I didn't even go out with her. You know that" I tried reminding him. But I could hear he was mad.
"We'll see about that, nick" he told me before hanging up the phone..
I had to find her, and quickly.
