Nelly had her bookbag full of books, her grade had started lowering. To a B. She hated being an A, B student. They were less than her expectations for herself, and she wanted to get into a good college. She walked to the parking lot where she saw Cal and a group of guys. She hid behind a car, trying to stay clear from Cal, she felt her cheeks go warm, blushing. She didn't know how to face him after his confession to her. After she saw that Cal was out of sight she stood up, finding Nicholas a couple meters away talking to Ian Michealson, a soccer player on Cal's team. Nelly began walking over to him, holding the phone in her hand.
"Here. I brought it, now. I will be leaving" she told him as she handed the phone to Nicholas. Nicholas smiled, taking the phone graciously. Putting it in his pocket.
"Thanks for reminding me about this, anyways! Want a ride home? Or you going with Cal?" Nicholas asked, as Ian seemed to be inspecting Nelly from head to toe.
"Hey, Nick, you never mentioned she was really cute" Ian commented, Nicholas' face seemed to flinch. He looked at Ian with a glare, almost saying 'don't talk'
"What? You talk about her, so I wanted to meet her personally. Remember you never really took me with you whenever you said you had 'business to take care of with a nerd'" Ian said as he quoted Nicholas. Nicholas punched Ian on the shoulder,"Shut up, dude."
Nelly looked at Nick and back at Ian confused, but slowly getting the idea.
"He's talked about me? Seriously? Well whatever.... I'm going home, I'll see ya later" she said as she began to wave off Nicholas.
"Going with Cal, yes or no?" Nick asked, in a strict voice that gave Nelly chills down her spine. She felt as if he was demanding her to answer.
"No, I am not"'
"So you're going on the bus again? Seriously? I don't think you will fit in with a huge bookbag like that" Nick commented, Ian had a sly smirk on his lips as she gazed at the 'couple' arguing.
"Shut up idiot, I need to study for school, I have a B in AP Chem. As well as in AP English. Apparently the teacher says I can't be creative enough to write my own story. What a joke." Nelly said as she was clearly irritated by the B grades in the class.
"Oh!! Nick here, could help ya on that! He's a pretty great guy in Chem. As well as in English, I love reading his stories" Ian said with an enthusiastic voice. Nicholas flinched once more.
"You read that!? When!?" Nick yelled at him,
"That doesn't matter! What matters is that you help Nelly with school! You're a genius" Ian said with a laugh, trying to excuse himself from Nicks anger. "My point is, that Nelly should come over to our house, until you help her. Cmon! I won't bother. I'll just...be...somewhere, but anyways! Nelly you should accept Nicks tutoring! He helped me with Biology in freshman year" Ian said with a laugh.
"No thank you" nelly said plainly,
"Aww...first time I heard a nerd wanting to get a bad grade in school, is that really whatcha want?" Ian asked with a sarcastic joking tone that ticked nelly off.
"My grades are fine! I hate a B but I swear to you I will get it to an A" nelly stated with a high mighty tone that made Ian smirk.
"Really? I don't think so! I bet you can't prove Nick here that you don't need the tutoring" Ian suggested with a condescending voice that ticked her off even more.
"I bet I can prove you wrong! I don't need Nicks tutoring, I can outsmart him myself"
"Really? Ya sure? I mean how can I trust you if you can't prove to me that your smart?" Ian asked with yet another sarcastic tone.
