"are we seriously going to burger king to get breakfast"

we park right next to a tree, making it fairly breezy.

"i haven't explored LA much, this is the only place i know, basically"

we walk into the place, the smell of coffee and the sound of a guy coughing is filling the place

i sit down, choosing a table next to a huge window facing the road

"what do you want?" luke asks

"hashbrowns. lots of hashbrowns. and coffee would be nice."

he then spun his heels and head towards the cashier.

the sun is slowly rising, lighting up the place. people are walking by, jogging, carrying groceries, walking their dogs.

then i see a young couple walking, hand in hand. and after that, i see a pair of parents with their toddler in the middle. not long after that, i see an elderly couple, the old lady is in the arms of the old man's. they seem happy, peaceful. their life must be great, been through alot, and survived.

"here's your potatoes"

luke's voice snapped me back to reality, and–somehow, his face lit up. and my face probably does, too.

"thank you."

he sits down infront of me, sipping his coffee

"hey, where's my coffee?"

"hmm? oh, mum said coffee's not good for you. especially you. how many times you've been sleeping at 4am?"

i bite in the mini hashbrown(because honestly, my mouth is too tiny) then slouch down my chair
"alot of times."

he shook his head whilst taking another sip of his coffee "then why are you drinking coffee?"

"because i'm much bigger than you so my metabolism can handle it, and i don't sleep at 4am."

i kick his shin, he squealed in response.
he tore a hashbrown in half, then throwing them at me

"don't waste potatoes!"

he chuckled, throwing more hashbrowns.

some actually got in my mouth.

"okay, okay i surrender, robert."

he smiles whilst eating the hashbrown in his hand.

we ate in silence. well, i was not silent on the inside...
he's now on his phone, busy replying a thousand text the guys gave him

"hey luke?"

he replied my call with a hum

"do you want kids?"

he lifts his head, wide eyed, shocked, probably.

"wh-what?"

"kids. children. do you plan on having them?"

he swallowed his spit, then locking his phone. his attention immediately goes to me

"why the sudden question?"

i shrug in response

"wait, are you pregnant? who was it? was it a one night stand? holy shit ems i swear if you need someone to support you and the baby i'll be there, you know what i'll quit the band and we'll—"

"whoa! luke! slow down, jeez. i'm not pregnant"

luke sighs in relief "why would you think i am, anyways?"

"uhm... well, uh... you haven't gotten your... period."

"what? how do you know?"

"well, first, you don't eat much, because you usually do when the time comes..."

"jesus you remember everything"

he laughs nervously whilst scratching his neck

"by the way, my question. answer it. kids or no kids?"

"i would say kids. i like seeing a couple of mini-me's running around a big house."

my heart melts as soon as he finishes his sentence

"but, i don't know. i can't even get the girl i love to say the words i want to hear from her."

"and what are those words?"

"i love you too."
