"Tris, I want to swim" Olivia whines. I sigh wiping sand from her hands.
"Olivia, you can't. You have your cast, remember?"
She groans "I know, but I really want to"
"Well you can't" I say. Its almost five o'clock PM. Tobias called earlier and told us he'll be waiting home because he's tired. I helped Olivia make a sandcastle near the sea. She has been begging me to go swimming, but she can't. She will get her cast all wet and she'll probably drown. "Now, Im going to the changing room. When I come back, I want to see you in this very spot. Okay?" I demand and she just crosses her arm, glaring at me. "I'll be right back"
I run to the changing rooms and u tie my hair. I change my biking to my undergarments and wear a pair of shorts and a tee shirt on top. I let the locket Tobias bought be lay on top of my chest. I never take it off, and it makes me smile whenever I look at it. It reminds me I am his, and he is mine. It reminds me of the unconditional love we have for each other. It reminds me who I am.
I shove my phone in my back pocket and sigh, brushing my hair with my fingers. I am interrupted by a high pitched scream. Olivia. I gasp, unlocking the cabin and grabbing my stuff.
"Olivia?" I scream trying to find her. She isn't where I told her to stay. Her clothes are covered in sand, on top of a towel. I start panicking as I let everything from my hands fall. "Olivia?" I yell, running towards the sea. The repeated waves keep pulling her under the water, making her scream and cry. My eyes widen and fill with tears. A few people notice her drowning, but most of them just stand there frozen. I keep running and running until I reach the seashore. Im not a great swimmer, I know how to keep myself from drowning, but Im not a good swimmer. Great or bad swimmer, Olivia is drowning, and if I don't do something about it, she can pass out or worse. The water is cold and it sends shivers up my spine. I start swimming towards her. My clothes feel heavier in the water and they keep dragging me down. I groan and let out a scream when I don't see her head bob up anymore.
I take a deep breath and dive underwater, swimming as deep as I can and opening my eyes so I can find her. A hand grabs me from my tee shirt and holds me tight. I feel a sharp pain on the back of my neck but I ignore it. I gasp, rubbing my eyes so I can see better. A lifeguard holds me in one hand and Olivia in the other. She blubbers as I reach for her. I hold her tight against my chest as I sniffle. My tears aren't noticeable  from the water that splashes on my face. The lifeguard helps us get out and gives us each towels.
"Are you okay?" He asks. He looks around my age. He has light brown hair (that almost looks blond) and blue eyes.
"Yeah" I say nodding my head a few times and clutching the towel in my hands. "Thank you."
"No problem" He smiles lightly. "Is she your sister?" He asks and I shake my head, kneeling next to her and helping her dry out.
"No, she's my boyfriend's sister." I say. I can see a flash of hurt and disappointment in his face but he hides it quickly. He bends down, just like me and looks at Olivia.
"What's your name?" He asks, making his voice lighter and calmer since he's talking to a little girl.
"Olivia" she replies blubbering. I hush so she can calm down, but it doesn't work. I wipe her tears away and rub her with my towel so she keeps warm.
"You're safe now. There is nothing to worry about. Calm down." He says calmly stroking her hair.
"Why didn't you just wait for me like I told you?!" I ask her, raising my voice a little, but not too much. "I told you to wait for me!" I yell, my voice starts breaking and tears finally start pooling in my eyes. "You scared the hell out of me! You could of drowned!" I yell, hugging her tightly. Tears stream down my face as I rub her back.
"Im sorry." She sobs. I sniffle one last time and wipe my tears away, pulling back and looking at her. "I want to go home. I want to see Tobias." I stand up and grab her hand. I hand the lifeguard the towel.
"Thank you . . . Im sorry what's your name?"
    "Tyler"
"Thank you, Tyler. Is there any way I can repay you?"
"No, don't worry about that. But, what's your name?"
"Tris" I say after hesitating for a second. He nods and smiles. "Well, one more time: Thank you" I say giving a weak smile and walking away with Olivia next to me. She stays quiet and doesn't speak a word. Her cast is all wet now, great. Now Tobias is gonna get mad at me for leaving her alone. Bending down and grabbing the towels and bags, I feel something different. I feel lighter. My hand instantly moves to my neck. Nothing. There's nothing there. There is supposed to be something there. Tobias' locket is supposed to be there. I check in my bag, looking if I left it there before going to the changing room. I keep searching and looking, but I find nothing. "Wait here! I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere!' I demand Olivia and run as fast as I can to the changing cabins. The one I was in is taken. I knock on the door twice and then the door opens.
"Oh. Tris" I hear a familiar name from the cabin. I look up and see Nita. "I didn't know it was raining"she jokes. I roll my eyes and push her, making my way to the cabin. I hear the door behind me close. I ignore it and look for the locket. I look on the ground, hangers, but its nowhere.
Great. I lost it. I lost the most expensive jewelry that meant the world to me. I lost it. What will Tobias think when I tell him? I sigh, closing my eyes and blinking my tears away.  I try to open the door, but something blocks the way and I can't get out. I keep pushing the door, but I don't succeed at opening it. I throw my body towards the door, trying to make it open with my right arm, but nothing works. I reach over for my back pocket to get my phone, but its not there. Even if it was, it would be broken from the water.
"Hey! Is someone here?" I ask yelling. The sun is setting and it's getting late. I told Tobias we would be home a hour ago. He must be worried right now. And so is Olivia. I told her to wait for me. "Olivia! Olivia!" I yell, but no one responds. I grab the top of the cabin door and try to pull myself up, so I can go over the roofless cabin. The climbing takes me almost fifteen minutes, because its very high and there is no object I can hold on or climb in here. When I finally get on top of the cabin, I jump. My hands and knees hitting the ground, immediately bleeding. I whine a little but ignore the pain. Standing up, I start looking for Olivia. I go over to where our umbrella was, but nothing is there. Not Olivia, not even the bags or towels. I look around, confused.
"Hey!" I hear a manly voice behind me. I turn around and see Tyler. "A girl your age took her. She had brown hair down her shoulders. She told me she was her babysitter. She said she's taking her home" he informs me and I nod. I should of known that Nita would do something like this. I sigh, blinking my tears away.
"Tobias is gonna kill me" I say, my voice breaking a little as I cover my face with my hands. Tyler tries to find the right words to say, but there aren't any in this moment.
"She also took the car" he adds and I groan. "Do you want a ride?"
"No, its okay. I can walk"
"You'll freeze. Come on, I'll take you home" He says, wrapping a towel around me and walking to his car. I follow him as I sniffle a little. What do I even say to Tobias? How do I even start explaining?
   First: Olivia drowned.
Second: I lost the locket he bought (that costed a fortune).
Third: I let Olivia alone for twenty minutes, sobbing and crying from her arm pain.
Fourth: Nita took his car without permission.
Im guessing I'll have to spend the night at my house or at the motel down the street tonight.
