you see that girl always smiling,
do you ever wonder what she may be hiding
the girl who's smile is so bright,
did you know she does it out of fright?
she doesn't want you to see,
what lies behind is not glee
she cries at night,
while you sleep tight
she seems so happy,
people think she's so chatty
she hides,
behind a world of lies
she wants someone to care,
but to her lifes not that fair
she doesn't understand,
why life had to be this bad?
she knows something you don't,
yet she doesn't gloat
she wants someone to love her,
for who she is-for the real her
she believes she doesn't belong,
in this world she's so glum
no one sees what lies beneath,
she believes if you did you'd leave
she doesn't find it easy to trust,
she doesn't see the fuss
if you saw her face,
would you run away or stay in one place,
she doesn't know what to do,
she doesn't want you to go
did you know something about that girl,
that girl is me
