confidence gaining
smiles becoming less fake,
something people are learning to take
trust growing,
without her knowing
laugh becoming more meaningful,
she's growing more gleeful
people becoming less hateful,
and becoming more tasteful
tears drying,
she's really trying
its not as easy as meets the eye,
people think its all a lie
she's falling for him,
she doesn't understand why her heart chose him
she thinks he hates her,
yet he doesn't really know her
each time they pass,
feels just like the last
she hates feeling this way,
but its how it must stay
as they pass a look is exchanged,
one neither can change
he's falling for her to,
he doesn't know what to do
they hide how they feel,
locked in their hearts for no one to steal
a secret they will keep,
too afraid to take the leap
a secret from the other they will keep,
locking it away without a peep
its not easy to hide your feelings,
no matter how often you lie awake staring at the ceiling
he plukes up the courage and asks her on a date,
one he says she wont hate
becoming closer as days pass,
they hope it will last
no one knows they date,
the girl continues getting hate
one day he tells all about one of the biggest secrets of all,
as he says it he stands tall
the girl is changing,
confidence gaining
falling in love never felt so real,
until he helped her heal
