Her view.

"We're flying in a plane to go to a ball?" I look at Harry, the shock in my voice obvious.
"It's easier. We're going to a different country."
"We're traveling to a different country to go to a ball?" I shake my head as we walk up the stairs to the airplane. "This must be some ball." I say as I smooth my dress down and take a seat. The vibrator between my legs feels odd and I shift in the seat to see if I can position it in a way that isn't so dead and center.
"It's not a ball like you're thinking of." He grins as he stares at me. "It's something quite different."
"What do you mean?" I look out the window as the plane starts taxiing.
"Be patient." He grins and then pulls the remote from his pocket. "Want to have some fun?"
"No." I glare at him. "You're not going to turn that on now. If you do, I will not get off of the plane when we land."
"Aww, you're no fun." He laughs and watches as I shift in my seat. "Don't forget to put your seatbelt on." He leans over and grabs the end of the buckle and pulls it around my waist and locks it. He stares into my eyes for a few seconds before pulling back. "There we go."
"I could have done it."
"I know." He nod. "But I wanted to do it."
"That's because you like to be in charge of everything." I roll my eyes at him.
"Am I in charge of you?"
"You wish you were."
"Wrong." He grins and pushes a button on the remote. I feel the vibrator moving slowly against me and I grab his arm and squeeze it tight.
"Harry," I growl at him and close my eyes. "Please turn it off."
"I will if you admit that I'm the boss of you tonight."
"You're not!" I call out and immediately regret my comment as I feel the vibrator rubbing against me slightly faster. I open my eyes and try to grab the remote out of his hand. "Harry."
"Pardon me?" He sits back smugly and holds the vibrator up high. "What did you want to say?"
"Harry."
"Yes, Cassidy." His fingers are about to push another switch.
"Okay, okay, you win. You're the boss of me tonight."
"Good." He grins and turns it off. "Just remember that I will only turn on the vibrator tonight if I want to capture your attention."
"We'll be together, won't we?"
"Yes." He nods. "But not all night. There are certain protocols at these events that we have to follow."
"What event is this?" I ask him again, feeling like I'm being kept in the dark about something important.
"You'll see soon enough."
"I want to know now." I pout, and he shakes his head.
"Patience, my dear Cassidy. Patience."
"Whatever," I sigh, feeling petulant like a little kid. I watch as an air hostess brings us two glasses of wine.
"Would you like anything to eat, your Highness?"
"No, thank you, Ingrid."

He takes both glasses of wine and hands one to me. "Don't drink it too quickly Cassidy, I don't want you getting drunk."
"Then you shouldn't have given me a glass of wine." I take a large gulp. "You can't tell me how quickly I can or can't drink it."
"Cassidy." He frowns at me. "Don't be impertinent."
"Don't be impertinent," I mutter, feeling daring. I'm annoyed that I have no idea where we're going. And I feel slightly intimidated to be going to a ball with a prince, when it seems like no one's really fond of me. His parents' friends haven't spoken to me, Tarquin and Louis' friends haven't been super nice and I can't imagine that Harry's friends are going to be much nicer or care anymore.

"Are you okay, Cassidy?" He turns towards me. "You look stressed."
"I just wish I knew exactly where I was going." I sigh. "I want to know what to expect."
"Cassidy, you need to relax. The not knowing is part of the fun."
"It's not fun for me. I want to know what's going on."
"We're going to a party. We're going to hang out. We're going to have some fun. You're going to meet some of my friends. It's just going to be a fun night."
"So we're flying on a private jet to another country just for a 'fun' night."
"It's going to be the most 'fun' night you've ever had." He grins. "You'll see."
"I sure hope so." I take another sip of wine and sit back. "Fine, I'm going to try and relax and see what happens."
"Good." He sips some of his wine and then he runs his fingers along the rim of the glass.
"So there is something we need to talk about."
"Oh?"
"We need to decide our names."
"Our names?" I cock my head. "I'm Cassidy and you're Harry, unless you've been lying to me."
"No, we need club names." His eyes glued to mine. "We don't go by our real names once we enter the party."
"Oh, fancy."
"We'll also have to wear masks."
"Masks?"
"Yes, I have one for you." He smiles and calls Ingrid over with his fingers. She seems to know exactly what he's calling her for because she brings a small black bag in her hands and hands it to him. He opens it and hands me a small gold mask to cover my eyes.
"This is like Phantom of the Opera or something?"
"Or something." He grins. "More like Eyes Wide Shut."
"Eyes Wide Shut? What's that?"
"It was a movie." He smiles. "But it's not important. Let's think of names."
"Uhm, you should call yourself Alpha because you think you're number one."
"I like that." He grins. "I shall be Alpha and you shall be Omega."
"The end." I frown. "Why are you the beginning and me the end?"
He grabs my hand then and stares into my eyes. "I am the first and you are the last and we are together. You must remember that, Cassidy. No one else can come between us. At the club, you are mine."
"And you're mine?"
"I'm no one's." He shakes his head, his eyes dark.
"How is that fair?"
"Life's not fair, but it is what it is."
"Whatever." I look out of the window at the orange night sky and all I can think about is Anna and how I wish she's here with me.

I need someone to talk to who's not Harry. Tarquin is someone who I like, but I know I can't tell him the things I want to talk about.
"You're upset again?" Harry taps me on the shoulder. "I don't mean to upset you, Cassidy. I'm a very honest guy. What you see is what you get with me."
"It's fine." I shrug without looking at him. "I don't expect you to be any different."
"I'm not the sort of guy you take home. I don't want to be the guy you take home. You might not even realize it, but you don't want me to be the guy you take home. We have chemistry. I like you. You like me. We're having fun. Like I told you when I first met you, this isn't forever."
"I don't want you to be mine forever." I look at him angrily. "And to be accurate, you said that 'this,' whatever 'this' is, was for one night. And it's become a lot more than one night."
"This isn't love, you know that, right?"
"What are you talking about?" I laugh, though inside I can feel the beginning of my heart breaking.
"I don't know," he sighs, and his expression changes. "I'll be honest with you, Cassidy. I don't know what I'm feeling. And that upsets me sometimes. I don't want you to think that I'm leading you astray. I want you to be here. I want us to experience this passion together, but I don't want you to get the wrong impression. I'm not a guy who commits."
"Why create a fake engagement, then?"
"I don't know." He sighs. "It was a rash decision, one I don't fully understand."
"I guess we both don't understand together." I offers him a weak smile. I feel my heart softening at the expression on his face.
