Air rushed past me from every direction. The darkness made it impossible to tell which direction was which. "Just focus," Heather's voice insisted. I couldn't orient myself and quickly found the ground crashing into my back. I groaned in pain looking up to see Heather standing above me with an arm outstretched. "It must be months now that we've been at this. The nemeton said I'd never get a full mastery of one creatures abilities," I said defeated. "Yeah, but you'd at least think you'd be able to get the basic mechanic of flying which is not falling," Heather noted, "No matter. My methods can only get you so far." "I'd say this sounds a lot like goodbye," I noted studying her thin frame.
Pale skin, dark wiry curls and piercing blue eyes. It was never a question as to why she always had more relationship issues than me. She was the one who actually got into realtionships. The baby fat had left her cheeks which took the cheeky adorable smile and made it a cleaner cut, aged, sad smile. A knowing look always seemed to rest behind her eyes. Her banshee predictions were different than Lydia's. Lydia's were moldable, changeable. Heather only saw key events that would happen no matter what we tried. She looked less lively than Lydia. Knowing the both of them I could see where her abilities took their toll.
"You have to wake up now," Heather said. "What if I'm not ready? What if the dark chameleon shows up sooner than we thought," I worried. "You'll be ready. Right now Scott and the others need you. Kate, Allison's aunt is back from the dead. She's going to cause some trouble with them using her berserkers," Heather explained, "Remember everything works exactly as we practiced it here in the dreamscape. Now, when you wake up it's important to know your brother's pack is trying to stop a dead pool with every supernatural creature in Beacon Hills. Just focus on helping Kira bring him back. She'll know what that means." I took a shaky breath and readied myself. Heather took a deep breath and wailed louder than I'd ever heard her scream before.
A finger poked my cheek and I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar male. Light brown gelled up hair, sea green eyes, a slight tan, stared at me bewildered. "AGHHHHH," he screamed startled. I screamed back and ended up falling on the cold tile floors disconnecting and tangling some wires. I started to rip the wires out. The muscles were weak but starting to come back even now. A third voice screamed back. "Owwww," I groaned rubbing the healing hole from the IV. "ANGIE," Stiles's voice exclaimed. I jumped and fired back a bit distressed, "Stiles!" "Liam, incase anyone cared," half mumbled the boy that had just shouted in my face. I couldn't pin his age. If I had to guess I'd peg him as a year younger.
I looked around slowly standing. "We're in... a hospital," I pointed out. Stiles nodded quietly. "You were in a coma," Liam said with a shrug. "I was in a what," I demanded looking to Stiles. "Yeah, you know, the thing where you're unconscious for prolonged periods of time," Stiles remarked. "Yeah, because the CNA has no clue what a coma is," I fired before pulling him into a hug. He hugged back wrapping his arms around me tightly. "You scared the hell out of us kiddo," he shared. "I did? Stiles, you were possessed by an evil fox spirit. You were actively dying," I noted. He let go of the hug about to say something when the door opened. I looked to see Kira standing frozen. She snapped out of it and ran over enveloping me in a tight embrace. "I leave for five minutes to pee and that's when you wake up," she asked. I laughed hugging back. I missed them.
"This is so sweet and touching and I really hate to interrupt, but uh, Scott is dying and a camera is glitching," Liam stressed. "Kate," I thought aloud. They all looked to me confused. "To summarize, my banshee friend in New York astral projected to wake me up for a vision she saw of Kate trying to take Scott's body. Also something about a supernatural dead pool," I questioned. "Yeah there's a list with every supernatural creature with prices next to their name. We're trying to see if we can lure the benefactor out by quote unquote 'killing' a big ticket name," Stiles explained. He received a look from Kira and they both grew tense and quiet. "If Kate really is here she could ruin the whole plan," Kira thought aloud trying to hint at something. "What camera went out," I asked. "Rooftop," Liam recited. "We should go," I said. "Wha- no no no. You just woke up from a coma. No life threatening situations yet," Stiles stressed. "I'm headed up," Kira said. "Be safe," Stiles called after her. I smiled to myself seeing he had taken up a role of the mom in the pack. "That's why I'm bringing this," Kira said showing the blade. "I'm going too," Liam said and followed Kira out as Stiles started to call after him but gave up.
