I logged off the computer frustrated. There's nothing on the Dread Doctors. Not even a following for the book. I threw my bag over my shoulders and rushed out. I'm going to get some answers one way or another. My fighting skills weren't only from being a werewolf. Theo's going to regret crossing me. I froze as Liam ran past shouting that he had an inhaler. Scott. My legs took off before my head caught up and I followed Liam to the AP biology room. Scott was having an asthma attack. Liam got him to take the inhaler and I sighed in relief. I caught the girl Tracy had grabbed standing with the crowd. She was smiling adoringly at Liam but I was more intrigued by her arm. There was no scabs or scars from the claw marks. She locked eyes with me and quickly darted off.

I cut through the crowd and helped Liam pull Scott to his feet. Liam looked to me confused. We walked out and Liam whispered, "There's no supernatural scent, I can read your chemo signals, and you have an actual scent." "Yeah reading the book kinda put a plug in my powers," I explained. "I think the book gave us psychosomatic symptoms from the repressed memories," Scott explained. "That makes sense. Mine was being pulled into the nemeton which had the power to cure me or give me the powers I have, Malia's was driving and being in the car," I pointed out. "Mine was when Roxy saved me from the German shepherd with rabies," Scott shared. "Your first big asthma attack," I concluded. "So Lydia should be next, then Theo or Stiles," Scott said. "What about Kira," I asked. "She didn't finish reading it," Scott shared. "Maybe she shouldn't," Liam thought aloud. "He has a point. We're all falling to pieces. We might need a few stable pack members," I pointed out.

Scott's head perked up. "Another senior fainted. It has to be Lydia. Principal's office," Scott said. We took off plowing through the students. "Lyd," I called out worried. Scott propped her up calling, "Lydia." She gasped awake babbling about seeing her grandmother in Eichen and something during her surgery. Still not about the dread doctors, but repressed none the less. Natalie ran in crouching with us. Stiles rushed in behind her. Lydia lied saying she just fainted. So Natalie is still in the dark about all of this. I walked over to Stiles. "Your memory hit you yet," I asked. "No," he said sounding a bit worried. "It seems to be hitting in one spell and leaving some sort of psychosomatic symptom. Stay with Scott and Lyd," I warned in a hushed tone. "What about you," he asked. "I need to find the nemeton. I need to figure out what it wants. How to unblock my powers. Something big is coming. You feel it don't you," I asked. "Like this is just the start of a tidal wave of awful," he agreed, "Keep your phone charged okay?" I nodded and walked out.

I walked to the film room's dark room needing a second to breathe. A hand covered my mouth and I elbowed back ready to fight. I stopped, seeing Isaac in the dim red lights. "Isaac," I asked in disbelief. "Sorry I should have said something. I didn't want you to scream startled," he said rubbing his sternum in pain. "I'm so sorry," I apologized. "It's my bad," he said. "What are you doing here," I asked trying to keep my voice low. "I heard from Tommy you weren't answering and the rest of your old pack is missing. You then fell off the grid with me too. I wanted to make sure you're okay," Isaac explained. I looked to photos being developed and scoffed bitterly. "Ange," Isaac asked worried. "The one time I can't mask my chemo signals," I remarked. "Angela, what's going on," Isaac asked taking my shoulders so I couldn't run. "I can't tell you. I can't tell anyone or other people's lives will be at stake," I shared.

"What are-," he cut himself off and examined my face. "Something's different from the last time I saw you," he said worried. "A lot is different, and I can't tell you any of it," I said. "Okay. That's okay. What can you tell me," he asked. "I read a book about the dread doctors and now my powers aren't working. The nemeton took them away again," I shared. "Let's go to the nemeton and see if it'll speak to you or something," he proposed. "L-let-like both of us. I thought you couldn't be seen by others. Aren't you supposed to be in Paris," I questioned. "You can't tell anyone and I can't be seen. It works out perfectly. Same goal of avoiding people. Paris can wait," he said. "I can't tell you much of anything, that's not an issue," I asked. "Ange, Derek was my alpha. All I've ever known is limited information," he countered. I nodded quietly. "Okay. Okay let's go," I said turning for the back door.
