I tried to shoot Stiles a text after letting Lydia know I was okay. I also told Lydia that I would meet her at Stiles's in an hour or so. Unlike Lydia however, Stiles did not respond. I had sent a paragraph only for it to be left on read. It wasn't like him to do so. I couldn't help but worry more. Scott stayed on a call from mom as she was frantically explaining how Jackson was in a cocoon of goo. It was the paralytic. I looked around the Hale house on edge. I can't just stay here doing nothing. I could be comforting Lydia or checking in on Stiles. "We have to go now. Hales, research and don't kill each other, or anyone else. Isaac, Scott we will go help mom at the morgue," I ordered. The boys looked to each other first before following through with the plan.
Isaac and I stopped to catch our breath at the entrance of the morgue, but Scott plowed forward suddenly taking initiative. I looked to Isaac with a shrug and we both straightened ourselves out walking to the body bag. "Yup definitely not good. My friend Alex went through this, but he didn't make it all the way through the process when Ivo figured out how to fix him," I explained. "Do you think you can call Ivo and figure out how to do it again," Melissa asked. "I can try, but I doubt his memory will be any better," I said pulling out my phone. We all tensed as Jackson started moving. Mom started to close the body bag, but the zipper got stuck. His mouth opened to bite at the air. I grabbed the zipper from mom and pulled it shut as quickly as I could. "Jesus, that's terrifying," I muttered calling Ivo's number. "Hey it's Ivo, sorry you missed me. Leave a message and I promise I might not ignore my phone," his voicemail said. They looked at me expectantly as Scott remained on his phone with Derek. I just shook my head no.
"It's fine. We just have to get him out of here," Scott said, motioning to Jackson, after hanging up. "Mom, keys. We need you to stall the mortician," I said. She nodded tossing Scott the keys as Isaac and I lifted Jackson by the end with his feet. Scott grabbed the part by the head. We shuffled out as Scott directed us to the parking lot. Scott dropped his end as a van pulled up behind us. He scrambled to pick it up as I looked to Isaac before we turned to see a black artillary van. Argent. "Shit," I muttered. "What do we do," Isaac hissed. "We could strike first and take them out. Make a run for it," I proposed. Isaac nodded as we looked to Scott who frantically hissed, "NO!" I rolled my eyes and looked to see only Chris Argent, Allison's dad.
"Oh I'm so dead," I muttered as I recalled pulling a gun on his daughter. "Heeeeey Chris," I said hesitantly, "Fancy meeting you here." I braced myself to have to fight past him. God Allison would never forgive me. I felt Isaac nudge my arm and I opened my eyes focusing back on the conversation. "But we have a common enemy," Chris said. Is he siding with us? I looked to Isaac confused. Isaac just shrugged trying to blow his curls out of his face. How is he so chill right now? "I wasn't talking about Jackson," Chris clarified. My jaw dropped as I looked at the others. Intense. This town is like a supernatural telenovela.
"He's manipulating Allison, just like he manipulated Kate," Chris continued. Oh Kate is the dead sister so the manipulation is coming from Gerard who's clearly evil and also in control of Jackson who we're still holding. "I'm losing her and I know you are too," Chris worried. Is Allison still spiraling? Maybe I should have been more gentle with her. "So you're going to let us go," I pleaded. "No," he said flatly. My stomach dropped. I don't want to fight him. "My car is faster," he said. A wild grin formed on our faces as surprise and relief washed over us. He helped us stuff Jackson in the trunk before we all hopped in.
He brought us to a safe place to try and figure out what to do about fixing Jackson. I had gone to voicemail for 7th time. "Ivo I swear on Dillon's grave I'm going to murder you! Wake the fuck up and answer me you little shit. I have a crisis on my hands. I need the info on how to revert a Kanima back to werewolf form," I shouted into the phone and hung up. "Who's Dillon," Isaac asked. "A friend of ours that didn't make it out alive from the world of the supernatural," I said agitated. Scott grimaced at the mention as we pulled the body bag out of the car.
