"You missed the call," Lydia asked bewildered. We were all in my house. Isaac had gone back to Paris and we were filling Lydia in. "What is wrong with you," she demanded. If it wasn't me with the fields in the back they'd for sure have been dead," I noted motioning to Scott and Stiles. "Believe it or not but we do manage to function without you sometimes," Stiles noted. "Not well," Kira chimed in. "Why not just go to the nemeton now," Malia asked. "I tried it won't let me," I said. "What do you mean it won't let you," Liam asked confused. "It won't let me. Scott came with me. We found it, I bled it basically told me to fuck off I went blind for an hour," I noted. "What if there is no second chance," Stiles asked. I shrugged. There's nothing I can really do about it. "It will call again. It has to," Kira reassured. Malia gave a look of uncertainty. "And when it does," Stiles chimed in, "You're going. I don't care who's dying." "Log everything you notice in the meantime Deaton said there's a higher chance of you losing control now," Scott said. I nodded quietly.

I few days passed and I was walking to the school to use the gym. I took the trail that wound through the forest and froze hearing footsteps. I turned to see the beast become visible. I took off sprinting into the forest to try and lose it in some of the more narrow winding paths. It didn't matter. It just destroyed everything in it's path. It leaped in front of me and I looked around. I'm fucked. I extended my claws and growled but as my eyes shifted everything went dark. I tried to look around in the pitch black and found I was now falling. Echoes of hundreds of voices saying, "You should have listened," circled me. "I couldn't she was going to kill people if I didn't stay," I argued. The voices grew louder and more forceful. The void felt less never ending and became a compacted circle around me. Invisible walls closed in crushing me. Something bubbled up inside. "STOP," I shouted stretching my arms out.

I opened my eyes to see blood on my hands. "Ange," I heard Scott call from far away. I looked down to see Isaac slashed to pieces before me with his blood on my hands. I froze and screamed unable to do anything else. The charging footsteps came to a screeching halt behind me. "He's still alive," Scott said. I was pulled up from behind and couldn't stop shaking. I looked back to see it was Parrish and not Isaac. I stiffened still shaking. "H-wh-I," I stammered searching all over. "What happened," Lydia asked. "I don't know," Stiles said from behind confirming her was the one still restraining me. They looked to me. "I-I-I-The-It was- And I-Then-and," I stammered trying to remember. I thought it was Isaac. "Look at this," Kira said a distance away. "It was the beast," Malia said. "Angie what happened," Lydia asked softly. I shook my head scared to let loose another hysteric scream. Was it the beast? Did I almost kill Parrish?

"You should have listened," said a voice in the distance. I whipped my head around trying to follow it. "Ange," Stiles asked cautiously. "I'm sorry," I started shakily. The hum started. "What's going on," Stiles asked now in front of me. "It's calling," I said meekly. "Now," Lydia demanded. "Scott, Malia, Kira stay here. Liam with us," Stiles said as Lydia took me towards the part of the woods that held the nemeton. The hum grew louder. "This is insane," Liam said as we neared the thick of trees. "Trust me, I know," I spat back and followed the hum before stumbling to a stop at the base of the nemeton. "Now what," Lydia asked. I pulled out the switch from Dillon, terrified to shift. I cut my palm and placed my hand to the base of the tree after sitting on its center cross legged. I closed my eyes. "I don't feel anything," I said and opened my eyes to see pitch black.

The void stretched out slowly turning into an enclosed space. I looked down seeing the nemeton still beneath me. I sat up quickly and pushed up to my feet as footsteps echoed around me. "Who's there," I called out. I tried to navigate my way through the darkness. It almost felt like there was a spotlight on me. I felt the gun on my waistband and pulled it out raising it as I spun in circles trying to see anything. A deep exhale sounded and a warmed red-orange glow illuminated the silhouette of a person. I fired the gun twice but there was no sound of contact, nor any ricochet. "Who are you? What do you want," I demanded. A light appeared in the distance. I walked towards it still looking from side to side and over my shoulder at different echoes. I heard singing behind me and turned at the sound of the familiar four notes. The call of the firebird. I raised my gun to the ceiling and fired setting off a small flash. On the trail behind me were silhouettes. Dread filled my stomach and I fired wildly before running to the light. If I can see I stand a chance at fighting.
