The fog started to lift from around my head. I sat up and looked over to see Malia next to me. Scott and Liam were still slumped over with her and I jumped as gasoline was poured on us. I pushed my arms forward and flung the canister into the wall with the fake security guard. I clawed my way to my feet still feeling incredibly weak and drained. It took everything in me not to throw up. Okay try to stick to combat Ange. "Angie," Liam asked being the first to come to, "What are you doing?" I pushed off the locker and took a second to stabilize myself. "Buying time," I answered as the second man charged at me. I stepped to the side spinning him into the lockers I had just been propped up against. Derek and the mercenary rounded the corner. Two other guards joined the one I had flung the canister away from.

I groaned in pain as I was turned and rammed into the locker. My feet felt like lead as I tried to untangle them. I kneed up and the man reared back going to stomp down. I kneed again and kicked him back seeing blood on Malia's claws and the guy's heel was bleeding. "Thanks," I said quickly. Derek had pulled the guy up and Braeden snapped his neck like the other three. I offered a hand up to Malia and she took it. Scott and Liam were pulled up by Derek and Braeden. I struggled to catch my breath as I leaned against the locker. "What happened to your gun," Scott asked Derek. "You're covered in gasoline," Derek pointed out. I stood upright as the ringing stopped. "That was extremely dumb and dangerous to start fighting," Derek scolded. "Good to see you too," I replied sarcastically. "Your eyes were rainbow," Malia said bluntly. "Werechameleon," I replied shortly. "I need to go home and recharge," I said before anymore questions could be asked.

I walked through the crowd still feeling a bit dizzy, but definitely better. My stomach growled and I tried to ignore the perpetual gnawing pain. Someone grabbed my shoulders and I pushed the hands off startled. I looked back and froze seeing a mop of familiar curls disappearing into the crowd. "Isaac," I asked. They curls paused but continued moving, disappearing into the crowd. I tried to push my way over but it was no use. I couldn't keep up. Was it really him? My stomach growled once more to remind me of my dire need for food.

I stopped at a diner and spent about $50 on burgers to go. I ate as I walked and even after scarfing down all of the take out I was still hungry. What the hell is happening to me? I decided to ignore it as I started to work on my online classes. I woke up sometime later to a blanket draped over my shoulders. The hunger had subsided completely. Maybe I just need time for it to recharge? Maybe food speeds up the time it takes to recoup from using my powers. What happens if can't feed the hunger? I got ready to go to work and saw a text from Scott saying not to worry about going in today. The clinic was closed to de-flea. I shrugged it off and made some breakfast before falling back asleep, still feeling exhausted. A constant buzz woke me and I answered the call, "Hello?" "I need your help! We're at Chris's warehouse with a pack that's being hunted down. Derek has no wolf powers and a gun and the rest of us have powers but no guns," Kira explained frantically. "I'll be right over," I said waking up fully.

I walked into the warehouse and ducked as someone tried to grab me. "Hey! Hey! It's okay! That's my sister," Scott reassured. I looked to the older woman. "She's, your sister," woman said with distaste. "She's here to help save your pack," I pointed out. She looked on with a stare filled with intense judgment. "I'm sorry, do I know you or do you look at everyone like they ran over your puppy," I asked. "You don't know me, but I've heard all about you. Henry's protégé," she said. The world stopped around me and I saw red for a moment. "Never compare me to that monster. I'm the one that had to end his life. I didn't see you doing much in terms of stopping a serial killer," I growled taking a step closer. "Killers don't stop other killers," she noted. "I'm sure you're right. That's why you and your whole pack are on the lam, and I'm the one coming to the rescue. One life to spare hundreds seems a lot better than an impasse of loss," I countered and turned to Scott and Kira. I walked past and grabbed two pistols before stuffing extra clips in my pockets.
