I finally crossed the Beacon Hills town line. The jeep started giving some weird feedback. I pulled over by Beacon Hills Memorial. "What the hell," I asked messing with it. A woman's voice sounded muffled in the static. The hairs on my arms stood on end as a familiar male voice drifted through. There was no doubt that was Gerard. I couldn't make out enough, but I recognized they were talking about hunting. A pit ate at my stomach. I need to call Chris. "Hello," he asked confused. "Are you doing anything important," I asked. "Why," he asked suspicious. "I need to talk in private," I said. "Ange it's 12 am," he said worried. "I'm aware. Trust me I want nothing more that to just drive home after being on the road all day. You're bunker, 20 minutes," I said. "Already there," he said.

I walked in and he looked up from the workbench. "What's up kid," he asked putting everything down. "Do you know where Gerard is," I asked. "Why? Did he do something," Chris worried. "No, but I think he's going to," I said walking over to the other side of the workbench. We never even followed up to see what would be happening with him after the beast. "I know he's your father, but god... we should have just let him rot," I thought aloud. "What's going on," Argent asked grabbing my attention again. "I don't know, yet. I couldn't hear it enough to make out the actual words. But I knew it was him. He sounded like he was coaching someone. I swear I heard the words mistletoe and full moon from him. What if he's trying to recruit again. Do you know how much shit this town has been through in the past year alone? I'm sure they're terrified. Fearful people can do horrible things," I worried.

"What did you see," Chris asked. "I didn't see anything. I heard it on the radio. He was advising a woman. I think they were tracking a werewolf. It wasn't clear enough be happening in the present and there was no weird ring like things from the past," I shared. "I'll see what's going on," Chris reassured. "Please keep me in the loop," I pleaded, "Liam doesn't know how dangerous Argents can be. All he knows of hunters is you and while I'm so happy that's the case, he's going to underestimate Gerard, if Gerard comes back with a vengeance. Even Malia has never really dealt with hunters." "It'll be okay I'll try to nip it in the bud now. Regardless, he has you and Scott to advise him after Lydia goes to MIT," Chris pointed out. I nodded leaning on the work bench. "You're worried about something else," Chris noted. "There's a lot on my mind. Louise had a dream about Henry. My old Alpha," I shared staring at the disassembled gun.

"You haven't told the others," Chris asked. "I don't know if I believe it. To feel safe in any regard I have believe it's wrong, it's impossible. I killed him. Not once but twice. There's no way he managed to resurrect himself with another banshee. Then again Liz and Clara are back from the dead too," I thought aloud. "Have you seen your mom since you found out she's alive," Chris asked. I shook my head no. "Clara was easy to forgive. I had ten years to forgive her and to cope with them being undead but... I can't forgive Liz for not even trying to let me know they weren't dead. I watched them die, it was my fault, I was 13. Do you know how that fucks with a child? I had to pretend everything was fine for years. I had to live with that on top of all the other shit eating away at me when the entire time they weren't even dead," I said feeling the heat rise up in my face.

"Who does that? Who keeps their own daughter in the dark about something like that? Who forces her daughter that was just murdered to go on the lam and cut all contact from people? Clara has no idea how to trust people. The shit I can only assume she's been through. Only able to rely on Liz. I hate seeing what she did to her. What I did to her. That girl used to have the confidence to take over the world. Her personality could fill a football stadium. Seeing her so small, so defensive and flighty," I thought aloud. I dragged my hands down my face trying to think it all over. In comparison somehow Agent McCall was the better parent over all.

"She's with you now. That's all that matters," Chris reassured. "What if I fuck up again," I asked. "It's not about failing. It's what you do after you fail that counts," he said. I sighed in defeat nodding. "You've done a lot as it is. You emancipated yourself and adopted her. You got your own apartment. All just in the past three months," he noted. "I'm scared something like Gerard or Henry is going to happen and my already loose grip on it all is just going to slip completely," I worried. Argent smiled sadly. "I felt the same way when Victoria found out she was pregnant. It doesn't really go away," he shared. "Thank you for the hope," I remarked. "You have a good head on your shoulders. Trust yourself," Chris said. I nodded getting a call. It was Stiles. It was 1 am. "I should go," I said. He nodded and I answered walking out to the car.
