By the way, I am going to start pasting different Gwen+Peter videos above each chapter so be on the lookout for them! This video's song is Gone, Gone, Gone by Phillip Phillips (which you most likely recognize if you have seen The Amazing Spider-Man 2) and NOTHING FROM THIS VIDEO BELONGS TO ME, I did not make this.

Anyways, tell me your opinions on this and if you have any other ideas let me know. Here's chapter three...

That night was painful. Never before Gwen's family every been so quiet. Her brothers kept sending worries glances at her, as if afraid she was going to suddenly drop dead at any moment. She had to admire her mother though, despite losing her husband last month and then just finding out her daughter was dying from cancer, she was managing to not show her emotions too visibly, though Gwen knew how much it all must be killing her on the inside. But all of this only made her feel guilty. Why was she doing this to her family? Why did they have to suffer too? Hadn't they already been in enough pain?

The next day, she didn't want to go to school, but she knew she had to. Besides, didn't Mary Jane deserve to know? She was her best friend after all. Once again, Gwen felt guilty for not calling he friend the moment she found out.

"Wonderful job, Gwendolyn," she said to herself. "You're being so thoughtful to everybody around you!"

Sluggishly she made her way to school and quickly stole a glance at Peter, before scolding herself. "You need to get over him, Gwen. He's never there for you anyway." But even as she thought this, she knew in her heart it wasn't completely true. "If he didn't care about me would he be going through this much trouble to avoid me?"

"Thinking about Peter again?" Startled, Gwen turned around and came face to face with MJ.

"What?" She said, a little too quickly.

Smirking, MJ leaned close to her, "You may think you're talking in your head, but I can really hear everything."

Gwen instantly turned as red as a tomato. Had Peter heard anything she said? Oh, gosh, please no.

Seeing Gwen turn red, MJ laughed at her friend and put her hand on her shoulder. "Gwen, it's alright, I understand."

"No you don't." But instead of actually saying this, Gwen remembered what she had to tell MJ , and immediately her stomach began to hurt. "MJ, I have something really important to tell you."

"Gwen, are you alright?" Noticing the sudden change in Gwen's attitude, she looked at her friend carefully, trying to figure out herself what was wrong.

"Actually, I'm not." Gwen said and looked down, holding back tears that were threatening to fall. How was she expected to tell her friend this? Trying to stay strong, Gwen looked up and quietly said, "Do you remember a couple years ago, when they said my cancer was finally gone?"

"Yes....." MJ said, not knowing where this conversation was going, but she could already tell it wasn't going to end in her favor.

Practically whispering, her words barely audible, Gwen said, "It's back. And I have a limit."

MJ didn't need any explaining on what she meant. All she needed was those two words. It's back.  Shocked, MJ stood frozen, not believing, not wanting to believe, what her friend just said was true. "Oh, Gwen." She said and leaned forward and wrapped her arms around the blond.

Hot tears started making their way down her face, but she didn't care. Not one bit. She knew they were attracting stares, but none of that mattered. She clutched onto her like a lifeline, not wanting to let her best friend go.

The two girls stood like that until the bell rang for class to start, not caring hound it looked. Both of them were crying into each others shoulders, neither of them realizing a certain brown-eyed boy watching them from afar.
