"Gwen?" Peter said carefully, holding his phone up to his face. "What's wrong?"

"I don't really know," Gwen paused. "Can you please come over?"

Peter nodded before remembering she couldn't see him. "Yeah, I'll be there soon."

"Thanks," She said and hung up the phone.

Once the call ended, Peter frowned, a wave of worry beginning to crash onto him. Had he done something wrong?

Then he remembered how she said she had just been at Oscorp, and fear began to make its way into his mind, along with worry.

Had something bad happened to Gwen while at Oscorp?

Gwen arrived home and went straight to her room, waiting for Peter. She sighed and tried to soothe herself.

"Just don't overreact, Gwen, let him explain." She told herself. There was a knock at her window and she looked up to of course see Peter positioned there. She opened the window and let him in.

"Gwen, what's wrong?" Peter asked and started to put his arms around her, but she moved away.

"I need to ask you something," Gwen said.

He frowned, "What is it?""

Gwen took a deep breath before coming right out and asking, "Peter, what's going on at Oscorp?"

Taken aback, Peter hesitated before lying, "What? Nothing."

She crossed her arms and raised her eyebrows, "Oh really? Then why are you so worried when I go there?" She said. "Why did you go talk to Harry a few days ago? And don't lie and say it was a social call."

"Please, Gwen." Peter pleaded. "I'm really only trying to keep you safe. I don't want you getting hurt."

"Peter, I want you to be honest with me!" Gwen exclaimed. "Why is that so hard?" She paused. "Do you not trust me!"

"Oh, no!" Peter said. "Gwen, of course not. I love you! I don't trust anyone in this world more than you."

"Then why can't you tell me?" Gwen asked softly.

Peter looked down, biting his lip, before looking up at Gwen. Her ams were still crosses, but instead if looking angry, she only looked sad. "I'll tell you, but only if you promise me something."

She sighed, "And what would that be?"

"Be careful. Please, Gwen." Peter said.

"Fine, I promise."

Taking a deep breath, Peter began to tell her everything, straight from the beginning.

"But do you know for sure?" Gwen asked as Peter finished.

He nodded. "Everything he says doesn't add up, unless he is the Goblin, because then it makes complete sense."

Gwen laughed, "That made no sense but I think you anwsered my question."

Peter smiled, "You're not still mad, are you."

She shook her head, "Of course not."

He bit his lip before asking, "I really need your help. What exactly does he do around Oscorp?"

She thought about it for a second before sayingm "Well, I rarely ever see him. He mostly stays in his office, except to go to our other buildings and deliver different shipments." She frowned. "And the occasional visit to Ravencort he makes to check on security."

Peter nodded, thinking over everything she said. "Nothing makes sense anymore."

"Peter?"

"Yeah?" Peter said, looking over at Gwen.

"I'm sorry for not trusting you."

He shook his head, "Gwen, don't be sorry. You were right, I should've told you. Just, please be careful, and only go to Oscorp when you absolutely have to."

Nodding, she said, "Don't worry, I promise."

Just to be sure, Peter asked, "No matter what?"

"Yes, bug boy," Gwen said, rolling her eyes. "No matter what."
