Hey guys! So as you probably noticed, I casted Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane (rather than Shailene Woodley) only because I really liked her portrayal of the character. While I am a huge Gwen Stacy fan, in the original Spiderman trilogy I thought she made Mary Jane a likable character, despite what other people say (I know, I'm probably the only one). I do like Shailene, but I simply prefer the Mary Jane Watson Kirsten brought to the screen.
Anyways, this video's song is Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift (and is on the Hunger Games soundtrack!)
As always, please read and review! :)

Needless to say, the school day was depressing. Sure, MJ was the only one who knew about the cancer, but when all the teachers talk about colleges and scholarships......
Basically, it was just a reminder to both girls about how much of life Gwen was going to miss out on.
Peter, of course, noticed right away something was off, but he had know idea what. Gwen had been correct, he had purposefully avoided her call the night before. But, it wasn't because he wanted to! He took every single ounce of his self restraint to not anwser the call and talk to her for hours. But why? Wasn't he doing the correct thing?
Either way, it didn't take his Spidey-Senses to know something wasn't right. When he saw her crying earlier that day, he wanted nothing more than to be the one to comfort her, to hold her. He hated seeing her cry. But he didn't. Instead he stayed by his locker, and watched her friend comfort her, as tears waterfalled down the girl's face.
He wanted to know the exact reason for her tears and be able to fix it immediately. He wanted her to have a smile across her beautiful features.
As Peter watched and studied her throughout the day, he realized that though her tears were gone, she seemed to just get sadder with each class. Wanting to know what was wrong, at the end of the day he went up to MJ.
"Hey, Mary Jane, or MJ, can I call you that?"
MJ only looks at him before rolling her eyes and turning away as she continued to put books in her locker. "Only my friends call me MJ, and before you ask, that is not what we are."
Peter looks at her before saying, "Okay well, Mary Jane, is Gwen alright? I saw her crying earlier."
At this, MJ sharply turns toward Peter, "What did you just say? Is she okay? Gee, I don't know, maybe if you actually acknowledged her and didn't keep showing her up you would know!"
He sighed, knowing she was right. "Look, I know you're probably mad at me-"
She snorted, "Probably?"
Started over, Peter said, "I know you're mad at me, but I just want to make sure she's okay. I still care about her.
MJ looked at him before sighing herself, "Peter, it's really not my place to tell you. If you want to know,"She looked down, not wanting him to see her tears, "You'll just have to ask her."
Before he could object, MJ closed her locker and walked away, leaving him with only one option.
