Hello to all you readers!

This chapter is pretty short and probably really boring, but I need to set the scene for the next chapter, so please forgive me!

This song is Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift.

Okay, so as always please read and review!

Gwen stole another look at the clock.

7:00. Seriously? She took a deep breath, trying to call herself. This didn't mean anything, Peter could just be out buying eggs for Aunt May or maybe she got stuck in traffic....

"Yep, that's it. Spiderman got stuck in traffic," Gwen said sarcastically, out loud to herself.

"Spiderman?" Startled, Gwen looked over and saw her youngest brother, Simon, standing in her doorway.

"Huh? Oh, nothing," Gwen said, then to change the subject, she spotted the spot next to her on the bed, "Come sit next to me, we haven't talked in a while."

"Okay!" Simon, said, obviously excited, and began cuddling up against his sister.

Gwen in turn wrapped her arms around his small body. But before she could say anything, Simon softly asked, "Is it true you are going to die, Gwen?"

She bit her lip, wishing he had asked any question other than this. What was she supposed to say? She didn't want to tell him the truth, but it would be cruel to lie. Sighing, Gwen whispered, "Yes, Simon, it is."

"No!" He said, and began hugging Gwen harder.

Softly, she tried comforting him, "Everything, will be fine. You'll see. And I'll be in Heaven, you know that!"

He sniffled, "Heaven is nice....."

"Of course it is. And I'll be there." Gwen said, "Hey, no crying." She began to wipe Simon's tears with her fingers.

"I love you, Gwen," Simon said, to which she replied, "I love you too, Simon."

Peter crawled up his girlfriend's fire escape that night, and silently peeked through the window. His heart instantly melted at what he saw: Gwen's brother, Simon, was curled up on Gwen's bed, curled up against his sister. Both of them were sleeping soundly.

He lightly tapped on his window, not wanting to wake Simon. Thankfully, he was a heavy sleeper, and Gwen being just the opposite, awoke on the second tap.

Her eyes flitted to the window, alarmed at first, but instantly relaxed when she saw her boyfriend. She put her finger to her lips and motioned to Simon, before carefully moving and picking him up as she left the room.

Gwen returned a minute later and walked over to open the window. "I just put Simon in his bed. Come in."

Peter of course didn't have to be told twice. With Gwen's assistance he limped through the window and crashed onto her floor. He winced in pain.

"Come on," Gwen said, leaning over to help him stand up, "Let's fix you up, bug-boy."
