Peter drove Gwen to work the next day. As they pulled up in front of Oscorp, he turned to her and said, "Now, remember, Gwen, if anything at all-"

Gwen cut him off, "Peter, I know, alright? I promise I will call you."She leaned over and wrapped her arms around him, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"See you after I'm done?" Peter nodded, looking at Oscorp. Gwen sighed and opened the car door.

She made her way into the building and to the elevtator. She pressed floor 63 and leaned back, when her phone started ringing.

Call from: Peter

"Seriously, Peter?" Gwen said under her breath, but still anwsered it with sighh, "Yes?"

"I forget to tell you something," He anwsered.

"And what did you forget to tell me?"

"I love you."

Gwen smiled, "I love you too."

I'll see you after work, okay?" Peter said.

"Okay, bye, Peter." Gwen said.

"Bye." Smiling, Gwen stepped off the elevetor and went to her desk, setting her coffe down and rearranging her files and papers. 

The day went by normally- nothing out of the ordinary happening, or anything too odd like Peter thought might happen.

As Gwen was gathering her things to leave, the person at the desk next to her said, "Oh, Ms. Stacy, can you please drop these off at Mr. Osborn's office for me."

"Oh, um, yeah sure," Gwen said and took the file. She sighed and quickly grabbed her phone to send Peter a text message.

To: Peter

Hey, I'm going to be a little bit late, just need to run some files in. 

Don't worry, I'm fine! ;)

Gwen sent the message and made her way to the elevtor, all the way up to Mr. Osborn's office. She had no idea why she was so nervous. Was it because he was new, and didn't know her as well? Or was it because Peter had always seemed so nervous when discussing Oscorp, could he be because of MR. Osborn?

"Seriously, Gwen. You told your boyfriend not to worry, and look at you now!" Gwen told herself.

Cautiously, she approached his door, and softly knocked, "Mr. Osborn?"

A few moments without a reply, before he said through the door, "Come in."

She stepped into the room, and did her best to omit a gasp. Mr. Osborn was obviously not well. He had a sickly glow to him, and it seemed he was barely keeping his eyes open. "Set it rght there." He said in a sickly voice as he motioned to the desk.

Gwen nodded and before she could stop herself, said, "Is there anything I can help you with, sir?"

He looked up, and seemed to looking her over, before he randomly said, "Gwen Stacy."

"Y-Yes." Gwen said, taken aback by the forcefulness in his gaze. He then asked, "How is Peter doing?"

"Fine." Why did he care? What was his problem?

He studied her, his eyes analyzing everything, before she couldn't take it anymore. "Would that be all, sir?" 

Mr. Osborn nodded, "Yes, I believe so. Have a good night, Ms. Stacy."

Gwen slowly backed away to the door, and quickly raced to the elevator. She couldn't seem to think straight. What the heck was that about? The way he had been staring at her....

It was an intense stare, but not the loving kind Peter gave her. It had a sense of warning, and deceit. And she knew this was the kind of stuff Peter wanted to know, this was the odd things happening at Oscorp. 

But she didn't want to tell him. What if she was simply making a big deal of nothing? Sighing, she left the elevator and stepped outside, wanting to get as far away as possible.
