Peter quickly swung himself to the roof of the building and dialed Gwen's number.

"Hi," Gwen said, anwsering on the second ring.

"Hey, are you home yet?" Peter asked, a smile creeping onto his face at the sound of Gwen's voice.

"Slightly stalkerish, are we Mr. Parker?" Gwen said, jokingly. She laughed, "And yes I am."

Peter chuckled, "Alright, I'm on my way over, okay?"

"Fine by me."

"I'll see you in about five minutes."

"See you then."

Sure enough, five minutes later, Peter was climbing up Gwen's fire escape and knocked on her window. Gwen lifted the glass and flashed him a small smile- one that didn't reach to her eyes the way they normally did.

"Hey," Peter said, crawling through her window, "What's wrong?"

Gwen shrugged, "I have honestly no idea. I'm just tired and feel so drowsy."

"Well," Peter said, smirking slightly, "I guess I could leave you alone..."

As he turned to leave Gwen snatched his hand, stopping him, "I don't think so buddy. It's your job as my boyfriend to make me feel better."

Peter grinned, "Fine. So what do you want to do?'

Gwen sat on her bed and held out her arms to him, "Cuddle with me."

It didn't take Peter long at all to agree. He positioned himself on the bed behind her and opened his arms, allowing her to curl right into his chest. She closed her eyes, breathing in his natural scent. He kissed the top of her head, and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer.

She sighed contently, "So what did you do today, Mr. Parker?"

Peter tensed. He didn't want Gwen to worry, no, that was the last thing she needed. But shouldn't she know about her own boss? And that brought up another question: Was it even safe for her to be working at Oscorp?

When he didn't anwser right away, Gwen lifted her head up and looked at him, "Peter, what's bothering you?"

"Nothing," he lied, "Do you work tomorrow?"

Gwen shook her head, "No, why?"

He shrugged, "No reason.

She gave him a suspicious look, "I don't believe you. What aren't you telling me?"

Peter sighed, "You've seen the newspapers, right? About me and..."

"Green Goblin?" Gwen anwsered. "Yes I have."

"Okay, well, I have a really good lead and I'm still investigating it," Peter said. "I want to be sure you're safe."

Gwen put her head back on his chest, "Don't worry about me, I'll be careful."

He rested his chin on top of her head, "Love you, Gwen."

"Love you too, Peter," Gwen said quietly, her head buried in his chest.

It made Peter feel sick lying to Gwen the way he was. But he promised himself as soon as he found a solution- one that would stop the Goblin and keep her safe- he would tell her everything he knew.

"I promise, Gwen." Peter thought, "Just give me time."

A/N

Okay so I need help! Do you think Peter should tell Gwen about his discovery or keep it to himself?

Please, please, please let me know!
