Hi-ya!

So I appologize in advance for this really short and boring and probably really pointless chapter. I promise the next chapter will be much longer and way more important! This one is basically a filler and leads up to the next one.

But, please read, and don't lose hope in this story because of one boring chapter!

"So...how was your day?" Peter inquired as Gwen got into his car.

"Fine." Gwen anwsered quickly, not wanting to share the details.

Peter gave me a look, "Alright, Gwen what happened?"

"What do you mean? Nothing happened?" Gwen said, and looked away.

"We're going to stay right here until you tell me what happened." Peter said.

Gwen sighed, "Look, Peter, I'm sure it was nothing, okay?"

"Just tell me, please." Then he added, "Afterall, you did promise......"

She threw her hands up in the air, exasperated, "Fine! I'm sure it was nothing."

"It might not be nothing," Peter said gently.

Gwen looked at Peter, and she could easily see how much he wanted to know in his eyes. "Well, I stopped by Mr. Osborn's office after my shift to hand in some files."

"Harry." Peter said simply.

"Yes," She responded, "Anyways, while I was there he was giving me this weird looks, making me really uncomfortable. Then he started asking about you, but it didn't seem like he wanted to know to be friendly, it was like he was looking for a specfic anwser."

She looked at Peter, who hadn't said anything. "Like I said, Peter, I'm sure it was nothing at all. Ever since the whole Doctor Connors incident, I've become more paranoid and-"

Before she could finish, Peter cut her off by saying, "Did he appear...odd to you?"

"Well," Gwen bit her lip and thought about it, "He didn't appear well. He was pale and a little sickly looking. But that doesn't mean anything."

Peter looked up at her, "But it could." He grabbed her hand, "I have a hunch on this whole thing, but it's only a hunch. Please, Gwen, if anything like this happens again, you must let me know. No matter what."

Gwen frowned, "Peter..."

He tightened his grip, "No matter what."

She sighed before anwsering, "No matter what."

Letting go of her hand, he said, "I love you, Gwen."

"I love you too, Peter." She said as she rolled her eyes.
