Avery

I had been working at the music store for almost a month now and I was really enjoying it. It was something I looked forward to everyday.

For once my love for music was accepted somewhere and I could just be myself. I had also became really good friends with Ragan, a girl who worked on my shift with me. She was my age and we also had the same music taste. She was a fan of 5SOS as well, just not as big as I was.

But today she was off. She had something to do, so she had taken the day off, but hadn't been able to find a sub, so it was just me, Carl and Kevin the owner, working. Thankfully, it was a slow day, so just the three of us working was enough.

Carl and I were stocking the vintage vinyls. This store's specialty was having vintage vinyls and albums. They were one of the very few in the whole country. It was pretty cool, at least I thought so.

Suddenly the bell chimed that someone had walked in. I stood up and walked to the front. A man was there. He was dressed in jeans and a button up shirt. He had glasses and short, curly hair. Honestly, this did not look like his type of store.

"Hello sir, can I help you?" I asked.

"Actually I think you can. My nam is Bryan Mathis and I'm with Rolling Stone Magazine."

My mouth dropped open.

"For real? The Rolling Stone?" I asked.

"The one and only." He said.

"Oh my gosh, well what can I help you with?"

"Well, we've heard about this store and how it's unique for selling vintage vinyls and albums and we'd like to feature it in a special article we're doing about how important it is to have vintage albums still for sale and stuff like that."

"Oh that sounds interesting." I said.

"Yeah, I think it will be. Is the owner here? I'd like to speak with him."

"Yeah he is. He's in the back. I'll go get him."

I ran to the back to get Kevin. I couldn't want to tell him who was out there.

"Oh my gosh, Kevin guess what?" I said as I reached his office.

"Michael Clifford is here."

I rolled my eyes. They always made a joke about him or the boys when I got excited about something.

"No, i wouldn't even be conscious if that was the case. But seriously, a guy from Rolling Stone Magazine is here!"

"You're kidding?" He stared at me blankly.

"Nope, serious. He wants to put your store in some article he's writing."

"No way! Oh my gosh that's awesome. Do I look okay?" He asked.

I just laughed and rolled my eyes at him.

"Yes you look fine. Go."

He walked down the hallway and met the guy. They talked for a while and then they walked down to his office. They talked for a while and then the guy left.

Kevin walked out of his office and Carl and I walked up to him. He was smiling from ear to ear.

"Well?" I asked.

"Yeah, what'd the guy say?" Carl asked.

"Well kids, it seems that we're going to be in the Rolling Stone Magazine." He said, putting his arms around our shoulders.

"For real?" Carl asked.

"Yep, for real."

I know it wasn't that big of a deal to some people, but for us it was insane. It meant more business and who knew what kind of people we would be getting in here now? Maybe even the Rolling Stones themselves, but that was a real long shot.

I sat in the dressing room, scrolling through twitter. The fans were super hyped about the show tonight, and so were we. We couldn't wait to get out there. But that's how it was for us, every show was a new experience, a new chapter for us, and the best was that each one was different and special in it's own way.

The door opened and Ashton walked in. He was reading a magazine. Which was weird, because he never reads unless he has to.

"Wow, this is really interesting." He said, as he sat down.

"What is?" I asked.

"This article in the Rolling Stone is really interesting. It's talking about how important keeping old vinyls and albums are. It also has a list of vintage stores that still sell them. Like that's their specialty. There's not that many."

"Oh wow, that does sound kind of interesting."

"Yeah, there's only two in America and just a few more spread out across the whole world. I'd like to go visit them someday."

"Why don't we go while we have a few days off?" Luke said.

"Would we be able to?" Ashton asked.

"Yeah, we should." Calum said.

"Okay, well let's plan for that." Ashton said.

"Sounds good to me," I said.

We all agreed it was a good plan and then we decided to visit the two stores in America. The one in LA and the one in Charlotte.

Hopefully it would work out for us to go. We all were in much need of a vacation. It would be fun to travel for once and not be rushed. I was thoroughly looking forward to it.

Hopefully this chapter gives you a little idea of how Michael and Avery meet, which will be happening in the next chapter! Yay!!
