//Aside from red, blonde Michael is my favorite\\
Avery
I was sitting at the airport, waiting for Michael. His plane was scheduled to land in just a few short minutes and I was excited, but also nervous. I mean Michael Clifford was about to spend a week with me, who wouldn't be nervous?
My parents had actually taken the news well. They didn't freak out like I thought they would and they said they were excited to meet him.
I heard his flight number over the loud speaker and the lady say that they were landing. My stomach started twisting in knots and I literally felt like I was about to throw up, but I managed to somehow stay calm.
I anxiously watched the gate. It seemed like everyone was getting off the plane before him, he must've sat in the very back. I waited for the longest time and I honestly thought he wasn't even going to come, but then I saw him.
His now blonde hair, was peeking out from the snap back he was wearing and he had a bag slung over one shoulder. When he saw me, he immediately smiled and walked over to me. He dropped his bag and hugged me, right there in the airport! In front of everyone! I hugged him back, but on the inside I was legit screaming.
"How was your flight?" I asked him once we had pulled away from each other.
"It was good. No one really noticed me, until we got off. That's why it took me so long to make it up here. A girl spotted me and wanted a picture."
"It's fine, even though I thought you weren't going to come."
I smiled and he laughed and shook his head.
He picked up his bag and we walked to the luggage area. He got his other bag and then we walked to the car. He put his stuff in the backseat and then got in the front. We drove off and headed to my house.
"So what fun filled things are we going to do this week?" He asked.
I laughed at the way he put it and then just kind of stopped, because I couldn't tell if he was serious or not. I hoped he wasn't, because I literally had nothing planned.
"Well I thought we could just wing it?" I said.
"Sounds good to me." He said.
"Yeah, we can just be unpredictable."
I winked at him and he just rolled his eyes at me.
"So is this how it's going to be hanging out with a fan? Horrible music puns?"
"Yep, that's exactly what it's like and now I actually have someone to who will understand them." I said, smiling.
"Turn the car around, I don't think I can take a week of this." He said.
"Aww and I thought you would actually get me."
I tried to look all sad, but he was just looking at me with this ridiculous smile and I started laughing and so did he. This really didn't seem real to me, but it was and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
We pulled up in front of my house and got all of his stuff out of the car. I opened the door and yelled that we were home. Mom yelled from the kitchen and we walked in.
"Hey Mom." I said.
"Hey, So this is Michael." She said.
"Yep, that's me." He said.
"Well it's nice to finally meet you. I've heard so much about you and your band that I feel like I know you already."
"Oh really?" He said. "All good, I hope."
"Yeah, it's all she talks about, really." She said.
I knew I had to stop this before it got out of hand or before I got even more embarrassed.
"Okay Michael, why don't you follow me upstairs and I'll show you to your room."
We walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs. We walked to the end of the hallway and into the spare bedroom.
"This is it." I said.
"Wow, it's nice."
"Yeah, just make yourself at home. You've got your own bathroom and you can put clothes in the closet or dresser if you want."
"Cool, thanks." He said.
"No problem. So do you wanna get settled in or do you want to do something?"
"I can unpack later. We can do something, if you want."
"Playstation?" I asked.
"Heck yeah, you don't have to ask me twice."
We walked down the hallway to the game room and we got all settled in. We played three rounds of Halo, then went to Call of Duty and eventually ended playing Just Dance, don't ask me how that happened but it did.
All in all this was shaping up to be one of the best weeks of my life. Yeah it was just the first day, but I knew this was going to be a special week, I don't know how I knew, but somehow I did.
