//Life goals: make Michael laugh like this\\

Avery

"So where are we going, today?"

Michael asked as he walked in the kitchen.

"It's a surprise." I said smiling.

"Oh okay. Did I mention that I don't like surprises or did you already know that?"

"Maybe I did. But it doesn't matter whether I did or not, I'm still surprising you."

"Okay, fine. I do know we're going on picnic though." He said.

"Wow, great observation." I said, sarcastically.

He just rolled his eyes and smiled at me. It was amazing how relaxed I was around him, like I could just be myself, my own sarcastic self and I was so happy.

I finished packing the basket and then we loaded up in the car. We were off and he wouldn't stop asking me questions.

"Michael shut up!" I yelled.

"Well someone's snappy today." He said.

"Dude, you've asked me where we're going like 50 times, I'm not telling you. Get over it."

I'm pretty sure he called me something, not so nice, under his breath, but I chose to overlook it. He'd be fine once we got to the place.

I was taking him to a spot that only me and my dad ever went. It was special to me and well I know it's cheesy, but Michael was special to me, so I wanted to share it with him and I was also going to spill my guts to him. This seemed like the perfect place to do that.

I parked the car and got the basket of food out. I handed it to Michael and then got the bag out that held the blankets and stuff.

"Okay, we're gonna have to walk a little bit. You cool with that?" I asked.

"Guess I have no choice." He shrugged.

"No, you don't." I said.

"I had no idea how sassy you were. It's weirdly attractive." He said.

I overlooked his comment and started walking.

"Come on, let's go." I said.

We walked up the trail. It took us about 15 minutes to reach the top. It was totally worth it once we did.

It overlooked an amazing view of mountains and since it was springtime, flowers were blooming everywhere. It was breathtaking and I had to take a picture, thankfully I had brought my camera.

"Wow...this is amazing." Michael said.

"I know. It's breathtaking."

I pulled my camera out of the bag and snapped a few pictures before we unpacked everything.

I had made us sandwiches and brought soda. We started eating and just looked at the view. It was impossible not to look at it.

"How'd you find this place?" He asked.

"Actually my dad brought me here on my tenth birthday and we've come back every year since. It's kind of like our spot."
