"A little birdie told me you'd turned it off." Kai said casually
"Let me guess...Damon." You rolled your eyes
"Look, I get it, y/n. Feelings are hard. You know, like there was one time my whole family called me a screw up. So I tried to kill them all and almost died in the process. Probably shouldn't have attacked Elena." Kai said almost sarcastically
"How pitiful are you? I mean, some of us got over our trauma long ago." You smirked
"Ouch." Kai winced as you got up and pushed past him, leaving the room.
"That didn't go so well."

"Hey, babe, I heard what happened. Can I come in?" Tyler asked, holding all the things he'd thought would cheer you up slightly in his hands. A new puppy, some magazines and books you liked and some television shows who's casts you drooled over
You opened the door, not looking devastated as Tyler had expected. In fact, you looked...calm. But Tyler chalked it up putting on a brave face.
"You'll have to excuse the mess!" You said casually, leading him in through the house. Tyler tried not to look at the mangled bodies around the place.
"I got you some things." Tyler said as the puppy leaped out of his arms and ran over to you, immediately in love.
"Aww thanks!" You said, looking at the puppy like Stefan looked at rabbits. Suddenly it clicked in his head
"You've turned it off." He said softly before putting the magazines and shows down and leaving. He knew there was no way he could convince you to turn it on and he was so upset by this, he didn't want to stay a moment longer
You picked up the puppy, and prepared to eat it but then stopped and patted its head instead. Something had told you not to eat the little thing.
