"Karen?"
"Here!" I heard her reply from the patio, where I found her bouncing my daughter on my knee, files strewn across the garden furniture. "We're enjoying the sun aren't we honey?", she explained as she beamed over Hannah.
I couldn't help but grin, "Those files could blow away, you know how the weather changes here."
"I already checked the forecast mother!"
"Whoah, harsh, I do pay your wages you remember?"
"Not generously enough." I narrowed my eyes then laughed, strolling further into the garden. I had to take a deep breath as I admired the blue sky, framed by the snow-topped mountains and greenery, the sun beating against my black outfit.
"Oh Stevie?"
"Yes," I turned back toward her, using my hand to shield my eyes from the sun.
"Lindsey called."
