Series One, Episode Six - With Her Hands Tied (April 5, 2013)

​Watching as the train carriage clears with his presence, a distressed V quickly arrives home. Discovering that he dropped his wallet, he and Edmund talk of the risk of someone learning his 'true fate'. The two continue working in the lab, talking, until Edmund reveals he has managed to open a mysteriously locked drawer. As V opens it, in it are thousands of photos of Vera, V making a statement about condemning the woman to her later life. They discuss a course of action, the magician revealing his plan to 'avenge the Vera of old' - and killing Novus Somnium's corrupt mayor alongside that. That night, V moves through a secluded building site. Edmund comes to him and they talk, V truly angry for what Charlie did to the old Vera.

​Taken by surprise as he returns to work, Maya forces Nickey to see the horrors of their time off - multiple hacking attempts on the Asylum. That afternoon, they talk of Maya's childhood over dinner, as their conversation is interrupted by a call from Tristan, who speaks of his fear of not telling Charlie. As Nickey watches on, the couple continue to violently argue, agreeing to meet in the Gardenvale Park in two night's time. Nckey comforts his upset cousin, as she expresses her fear of losing Nickey to the Asylum once more. The next day, Maya wakes to a beautiful breakfast from Nickey, as he cousins share happy conversation. They both run to work with the call that a magical display has been sighted.

​Noticing the date to be four months since the escape, Kara records a message to her beloved friend, Arianna. As they are sat down for lessons on city life, Kara is called into the Asylum headmaster's office, agitating Julien. He and Mina watch on as the headmaster reveals his knowledge of her camera - only that he doesn't know where it is. Watching with his daughter, Milton barely turns an eye as Kara is beaten - while Julien leaves in haste. Walking carelessly through oncoming traffic, Mina catches up to him as the postman reaches the edge of a rooftop. They speak of her need of him, as Julien sadly admits he believes himself to be a failure. Mina kisses him, admitting her crush - and offers to show him progress.

​Preparing for another public council meeting, Charlie and Tristan share meaningful words, the councilman struggling to keep the secret. Upon their arrival to masses of press, the council are thrown questions. Charlie breaks into tears and runs, forcing Tristan to comfort him. He shows his friend the photo of Vera, and reveals that he thought he saw her in the chamber. They leave to go, knowing that the council can keep the meeting going themselves. Charlie talks of Vera's phone call, stressing that the words are eating him alive. As they talk more, Tristan offers that they must find her.

​Spending time with Darcy after school, he and Arianna talk more of his situation at the orphanage. They play at the water fountains, as Darcy tells that his mother abandoned him with only a note leaving his name. In a moment of terrifying genius, Darcy reveals that he knows of Ari's Powership, and has contact with her mother. Forcing her to trust him, he talks of the need to run away together - and the threat of her father, Charlie. Later into the night, Ari speaks to Letitia of the child's words. She comforts the teen, telling her not to worry - as she has left her post at the school.

​Meeting Tristan at the park by night, the councilman expresses his anger at Maya bringing Nickey. The couple continue their fight, yelling about the Power issue, as Tristan pulls out his phone and threatens to call Charlie. Terrified, a crying Maya pulls out her gun to threaten him back. Too afraid to shoot, he taunts her, continuing to talk of what would happen when the mayor finds out, and even reveals the identity of Nickey's father. Angry and horrified, Nickey forces the gun from Maya's hands, shooting the councilman thrice in the stomach, as they run, Maya petrified. In his last moments, Tristan calls Charlie and tells him the truth. Minutes later, Nickey and Maya are arrested, violently, as she cries out her horror for finding him.

​As the news plays the report of Nickey's capture, Mina smiles as both she and Julien celebrate. They continue to date, talking more of the Powers as they realise that Nickey's twin is still at large. Mina tries her magic, which works. Later, as the girl continues hacking the Asylum, Julien sneaks in another letter for Kara. The pop princess reveals that she will need a few months to crack the code. Milton smiles, saying that both she & Julien will make 'fine criminals'.

1.07 - The Firestorm

As news of Nickey's capture spreads, Maya's attempts to reason with Charlie take a turn for the negative when her father gets involved. Letitia and Ari meet with an old friend of hers who can protect the young Power, as V takes his revenge. In the city of old, Vera decides to take what she believes to be hers in Somnium's shocking first series finale.
