Series Two, Episode Ten - The Bandana Man (June 28, 2013)

​Having been kept for four days under Juan's confinement, Nickey and Arianna are awoken harshly to his talk to "work to do". Welcoming the Powers to Decorus Luna, Juan informs them of the explosion plot, and the second crystal, while asking them to drive with him - soon arriving to an apartment. Inside finding Blue and White dead, he speaks to a partner on the phone - as Nickey enquires into his motives. Revealing he only wishes to save magic, Nickey holds Juan to the wall and assaults him - Arianna terrified. Trying to calm the Power down, the Bandana Man teaches both the concept of half-Powership, and talks to them of Darcy - and Chris Vallacy's betrayal. Offering to help at the mention of Darcy Junior; Arianna expresses her fear of returning to Novus Somnium to find him. Calling the Asylum home, she distresses Juan. With a hug, Nickey calms her. Leading them away, the Bandana Man reveals they must meet someone.

​Enjoying a lunch date with Kara, Darcy Jr. forces upon her conversation regarding the eternal life crystal and his goals. Talking further of using Vera's blood, he and Kara take a walk - upon which she expresses a wish to destroy the Powers and the others - especially Mina. Brought before Darcy Sr., Stan and Letitia, Kara is introduced to them formally, as she attempts to make small talk. Taken back to her room by Stan, Kara silently ask him for his reasoning behind helping Darcy - to which he reveals he was being controlled, but is now going along with him to feel "like he has a place". Speaking more to the young girl, Kara expresses her fear of being a part of the plot, yet her love of Darcy being stronger than any fear. Outside, Darcy Jr. confides in Letitia his fear of being with Kara, and of his place as a "Dreamer". Attempting to enquire and comfort him, Darcy simply walks off - warning her not to interfere.

​Hastily discussing a course of action regarding Kara, Vera proposes to the others that they must find the mystery second crystal - knowing it will lead them to Darcy. With Mina still distraught, Charlie deduces that forcing his children from the city was not a smart decision - to which Maya offers to go with Mina to Decorus Luna in search of them. Calling Quinlan, Maya makes preparations as they drive off into the night - intending to follow a schedule identical to that of Nickey and Arianna's. Vera and Edmund attempt to comfort a distressed mayor, as he suddenly rushes out of the house, and runs towards the train tracks. Using her intricate knowledge of the streets, Vera manages to capture. Trying to talk to him, Charlie reveals in tears that he considers himself a failure - both for losing his loving wife and only children. Telling him that they can be saved, they walk back, hands locked. Upon his return, Edmund speaks of danger.

​As Darcy Jr. and Sr. talk violently of their goals, Darcy Sr. reveals his is to live long enough to watch Charlie die in agony - revealing his still-existent feelings for Vera, and his jealousy. Approached by Kara, the conversation tones down, as she converses with them regarding the process. Junior reveals that one vial of blood and infuse just four people with eternal life. Running out to his car, Darcy Sr. returns with the words "Use it well. She deserves to pay." - handing him his own stock of Vera's blood. Asking for him to "save Fiona", Darcy Sr. shoots himself with a one-bullet pistol, much to the horror of the others. Compelling him to wait, Kara expresses fear to Darcy. Kissing her, he offers to give them one week to stop him, which she accepts.

​Met by Quinlan the next morning, Edmund attempts to explain the situation - talking primarily of Darcy Jr., Kara, and the crystal of eternal life. Trying to learn more information, the officer speaks to both Vera and Charlie. Learning of Vera being his wife's sister whom they thought had died; Quinlan pushes further into his inquiry. Leaving the three, Vera makes her way to Cityscape - where she meets Noah before classes. Confiding into him all of her life's recent events, Noah confesses a wish to meet Darcy once more - if only to kill him. Confronted by Letitia; she and Vera attempt to discuss Kara's location, which Letitia denies knowing. Slapping the teacher, Vera walks away - loudly proclaiming that she won't live forever.

​Discussing the plan as they ride; Juan talks to Nickey and Arianna of Operation Winter. Upon arrival to a back-alley townhouse, the three quickly and quietly move in - brought before Julie Crand. As the Powers express their surprise, Juan compliments Julie on her murder of Blue and White - though the mood sours upon her revelation that she could not find the half-Power crystal on them. Freaking, the Bandana Man asks both the Powers to help him retrieve it, as he talks of it being beneficial to finding Darcy Jr. Julie attempts to speak to the Powers, though Nickey reacts coldly. Returning to the apartment to investigate, Juan and the others discover video on White's phone of a purple cloaked assailant. Revealing only Blue was alive when she arrived, Julie talks of a need to find the person. Nickey noticing the torn cloak; Ari reveals its location - prompting Juan to take them back.

​Having spent a day at the inn, Maya and Mina agree to soon leave. Discussing the situation over dinner, Maya confesses her fear that Kara will betray them, while trying to comfort Mina over her role. Driving the roads of Decorus Luna's hill region; Maya comments on the beauty of an overpass as they drive under it. Still waiting, Chris notices a car - warning his crew to be prepared. As Maya and Mina approach, they tires are shot out - Maya hitting her head upon impact. Taken by men of Chris Vallacy's, the two women wake to find themselves in a mysterious underground laboratory. Mina comments to Chris on his betrayal, as he approaches Maya in her cell - syringe in hand.

2.11 - A Memory Now Broken

When Vera realises she and her sister will both be in danger of Darcy's wrath, she attempts to reunite. As Juan's return troubles Julie, Vera is forced to face the heartbreak of Darcy's betrayal in the Novus Somnium of old.
