Series Two, Episode Seven - Heroes and Villains (June 7, 2013)

​As Charlie and Edmund arrive to the office, the team works quickly - addressing the urgency of the situation. Discussing between themselves what Darcy's goals maybe, Arianna states that his mind is corrupt. Suddenly, their conversation is interrupted as Darcy Sr. bursts in - revealing why the young child wants Vera. Questioned immensely, he shows no knowledge of her whereabouts, but he reveals he is ready to be a hero, and to help them, too revealing his weak alliance with the Sunlight Society and more knowledge of recent events. Despite trying to avoid the Doctor, Arianna proposes that Julien may have been killed for learning something. Darcy states that his son is extremely dangerous, though the others seemed more cared of Julien's murder. Met with warm goodbyes upon his leave; Darcy sits on a park bench. He talks to himself of Vera - revealing he also wants to have eternal life.

​February 28, 2014. Waking at the hour of 5pm, Sunlight Society member Julien Anomara takes the opportunity to bathe and shave. After small conversation with leader Wicked, he learns that until magic is back, they cannot leave and essentially die - except for a one hour awakening each day, though they retain no memories of this. Waking up totally the next day, with a love of books and possessing much knowledge of the world, Julien makes friends with member Seymour. Assisting Seymour in stealing a crystal from Wicked, Julien drains his mark into the man's eagle - now headed home. Met with a warm welcome from his parents, his mother expresses horror of his kidnapping sixteen years before. Becoming a post driver and getting involved in crime; Julien's father scolds his son. Learning of his sister Kara, the postman develops a sight-unseen attachment to her. Trying to find a way out for the young girl, Julien is violently introduced to Milton.

​Returning to Cityscape with the hope of assisting Letitia, Darcy Jr. receives many questions of his absence, though he answers none. Joining the teacher under a tree at lunchbreak, the boy sarcastically comments on the style of her singular glove, as they sneakily discuss Vera's absence. As she reveals she has been spying, yet hasn't seen her, the two deduce that she has skipped town - leaving them with Nickey, Maya and Ari as targets. Unsure if someone with less Fertaine blood than the most pure would work, Letitia speaks of the newly learned consequences of using the wrong blood - discussing their test on a Sunlight Society member. Approached by Noah, Letitia leaves the two boys. Though their conversation begins happy, they become sinister as leaves earshot. Violently revealing his knowledge of Darcy's Sunlight Society, the two argue, bringing up Vera. Angrily threatening Noah with magic, they notice a drawn crowd of horrified kids. Taken by Letitia, she and Darcy talk - instructing him not to come back.

Investigating a lead with the purple fabric, Ari and Mina find themselves in the woods, where a second has been found. Talking by a creek, Arianna expresses awe of Mina's public status, who in turn talks of hating the spotlight. Continuing outwards, they discover an abandoned cottage stocked with supplies - including money. Finding inside a purple cloak, torn, the women speak of possibilities, as a sudden sound draws them back to the creek. Attacked by three masked men with knives, their magic does little. Using the small strength she has, Ari pushes them into the deep, rushing water. Relieved, they return to the cottage to find the cloak absent. With the sound of a clicking gun, they are warned to get out by a woman. Running, they return to the office.

​Tied up and horrified at Darcy's return home, Vera harshly expresses her discomfort. Offended, Darcy replies with his son's intentions, asking her if she would rather face that. The former couple discuss more of the Sunlight Society, as the Doctor grabs Vera's cheeks, inspecting them. Asking her for her life's biggest goal, the two talk, as Darcy reveals it is his to save a young girl at the hospital with a terminal illness. As they discuss it more, tears come to both their eyes, and Vera poses the question of him wanting her blood. Crying, he admits to it, as she offers it voluntarily. Sharing a moment of compassion, Vera states that they can work together to get the crystal. Asking her to remain, he states that Darcy will be on the warpath. Agreeing, she makes herself at home.

November 1, 2014.Having sent Mina out for coffee and supplies, Julien and Milton share conversation about their Asylum progress. Getting into an argument over their plans, things get violent - ending with Julien stabbing him in the chest. Clearing the evidence and hiding Milton's body in the woods, Julien is spotted by a woman in glasses. As Mina returns, she finds Julien safe, and enquires into Milton's location, to which he replies "He went out for a bit." Months later, it comes to March 1, 2014. Saying goodbye to Mina, Maya and Kara as they go shopping, he is left alone - until a woman in glasses knocks on the door in a purple cloak. As they talk, she reveals knowledge of their plan to free the Powers. A former Power herself, she talks of a want to help. Suddenly, she stabs him in his chair, saying "I'm Julie Crand, and I'm getting the revenge Mina should have gotten." Running, she notices Mina and the others approaching.

Now at a loss in both the cases of Julien and Vera, the team have a hard time working out a course of action. As Nickey and Arianna talk to their father, the mayor reveals that he is still shaken up. Instructing Edmund to leave with him, the mayor calmly warns his children that he wants them out of Novus Somnium - not knowing Kara is a Power too. As Maya tries to argue, he gives them three days to leave. While tears are shed, they talk of having no sign of where to go. Elsewhere, Mayor Vallacy of Decorus Luna receives a message from Mina, regarding Charlie's threat. Telling his secretary to "prepare the studio", he sets off to make a message offering respite - but tells her Juan will never know what hit him when he takes Fertaine blood for himself - while Juan is spying on him.

2.08 - Their Place of Salvation

With Nickey and Ari forced to flee, Maya leads an operation to retrieve Vera. Vera and Darcy Sr. work on finding the crystal, as Kara again dreams of her true love - leaving Charlie and Edmund baffled when she draws him.
