Series Two, Episode Three - Her Young Consultant (May 10, 2013)

​As Mina and Julien view the report of Charlie's release while working, Maya rushes, returning from the hospital to join them. Unsuccessfully attempting to calm her down, she talks of Arianna's disappearance. Using the work on an escape plan as a way to distract herself, the former Power discovers that the staircase in Nickey's storage chamber only leads to a guillotine room. As the three work quickly to warn them, their calls hall into silence. Surprising her father with a visit, along with her partners, Maya pleads for his assistance. Once again going off at her for withholding knowledge of the Powers, they find themselves without a goal. Suddenly, an email comes to them from the Sunlight Society, threatening that Arianna must be found.

​Paying a visit to Letitia following Ari's disappearance, Darcy is forced to be the bearer of bad news. As they discuss their history, former relationship and the baby stolen from them, Darcy mentions his act of changing Ari's memory, which turns the conversation sour. Letitia, turning cold, threatens the doctor, forcing him against a wall. Revealing a mark of the Sunlight Society on her palm, he expresses horror yet knowledge, as he pleads her to stop. Only saying the words "it's not hard to get another one", the woman drives the mark into his chest. Using his own magic to force her back, the magician manages to escape. Watching from the window as he suffers in the street, Letitia puts herself in contact with Lyla. Discussing Ari, she stresses that they must find Vera.

​Faced with a night alone in his mansion, Charlie converses with Noah regarding his recovery. Answering his doorbell to the sight of Vera, she comments on his high living stature. The newfound allies talk, Vera delivering knowledge of the Society. Agreeing to help his ex-wife save their children, Vera invites him to her home in two night's time. Elsewhere, the next day, an excited sixth grade class return from break, too welcoming the return of Letitia. During their lunchtime, a child named Noah is subject to torment, including the breaking of his glasses. Sneaking down a stormwater drain, he arrives to a computer, and maps of the city. Making a voice call, Noah speaks through a voice changer, saying "Hey V, it's H. I think I know what he's thinking about all this."

​Continuing to traverse the staircase, Kara's sudden asthma attack and the smell of smoke forces them to retreat. Taken by surprise, they return to see their storage chamber in flames. Using his magic to subdue the fire and Kara's condition, they discover the charred wreck of their computer and camera, while being met by superiors of the Asylum. Threatening the Powers to surrender, Nickey sends them back and takes Kara forcefully down the staircase. Arriving to a dark room, the superiors use lights to unveil the guillotine room. Trapping them out with his magic, they converse, and Nickey says "now it will just be time."

​Taking a still tied Stan from her closet upon Lyla's return; the two women continue to torture him - until Stan uses his own magic to summon the crystal. Revealing that Fertaine blood tainted by it will give eternal life, Lyla has Letitia confirm their faith - saying Vera's blood is 'the most pure of Fertaine'. As Seymour notices the mark on Letitia, he questions her, and Lyla jumps in with the words "any member can mark another if our leader deems them worthy". Torturing him more for fun, Lyla is stopped by the teacher. She proposes that they deliver 'both goods', as they knock Stan out violently.

​Meeting with Vera at her residence, a small suburban home; Charlie comments on her renovation of their former home. They discuss more of the Society, as Charlie asks for proof of why she should need his assistance. Revealing her knowledge of their goal to capture both herself and her associate, the mayor repeats his inquiry into the man who attacked him. Suddenly, Vera takes his hand to walk him down to the basement - where she reveals a comatose Arianna, with the words "Look, Charlie. Your daughter. She's all grown up." With him getting angry, she revives the Power, as Charlie embraces Brianna. As she wonders where she is, Vera returns her to sleep, and talks of the need to kill Darcy to restore her memory. Angry, the mayor agrees.

​Arriving to the Society by car, Lyla and Letitia drag Stan before their leader, hidden by his umbrella. Signalling Letitia to leave, Darcy Jr. and Lyla converse, taking Stan to a back room. Continually questioning him about how he knew of the crystal, the magician refuses to answer, aggravating Darcy. With a sudden movement, Darcy drains the magical energy from Lyla, killing her, and marks Stan. Horrified, Stan questions him, as the leader simply walks off. In another room, a wall of magically emanating seal patterns stands before the child - as he uses one to control Stan, sending him towards finding Vera.

2.04 - Darcy Hedney Must Die

While present day Maya learns the cost of saving someone, the teenage Maya of old learns the price of sacrificing someone for yourself. With both the Powers trapped, saving Ari is of top priority.
